MvCI Meta and Tier Discussion

How exactly the changes on pre jump frames work? Can they get hit in the first frames they are airbourne, or only while on ground if they try to chicken block? Been thinking about something. If I get people in the corner with Thanos and do his angled super with the right spacing where it barely whiffs, will they get hit by the super if they try to jump back? Could I tag Nemesis and command grab them, since they can’t jump? Would it be a near unblockable?

Punishing tags only works if you predict them and have a hitbox out in time for it.

I feel like dante will be worse than zero. With zero you know you need to start zoning his ways in and can start zoning him from the second the match starts. With dante if u only have a fireball type projectile, you cant just start spamming cause he’ll just teleport on reaction. his tridash-ish jump lp has good range and can cover distance and put you in blockstun almost immediately. Also his normals beat out a good portion of the cast.

Also, even if you switch right after projectile theres risk of hap bday from helmbreaker etc.

Except if you’re trying to zone out Zero, he’s still in a better position than you since his zoning is likely better thsn your’s (unless you’re also using Zero).

Zero can out zone when he spends meter. When not its his mobility that is the threat.

But when has requiring meter ever been that much of a negative thing. Especially now that Zero can put out UMvC3 Morrigan level shenanigans.

Ur right zero has every tool but to get meter he has hit u. I just think dante will be harder to fight against than zero. At match start zero can only come in from the front and only horizontally on the ground, horizontally in the air and(or) then straight down on top of you or in the air and then at a downward angle. You can also get crossed up from any of these approaches. However from match start you can start covering some of those approaches by zoning and movement hopefully so he can come in from an angle that ur char has strong buttons or moves that can deal with him. With dante you have to be cautious about puting out projectiles. Because of this I think zoning dante will be harder to do meanimg that its easier for dante than zero to take control in neutral since he had more range with his normals and I think he can rushdown better. I posted this because up till now I believed zero was the one that would be hardest to beat. But after watching match vids dante might be better than zero?

At this point getting into specifics like this is all the worst kind of theory fighting…

Your zero versus Dante example might be super on point… but what if it’s not even about that? What if it’s that you can’t open up zero at match start at all, and then he has good neutral and can just set you up at ease when he wants to? Or bla bla bla this or that… we really won’t know until we at least get the game.

Non specific stuff like this looks like it will be good at this and whatnot is fine… but what beats what is something none of us can really know at this point.

Zero can come in however he wants, all you have to do is throw out a move and tag him in. Like first frame lariat into tag or some shit.

What if you put Zero and Dante on the same team?

Zero + Dante = Zero May Cry

Zero + Jedah = Zero May AHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I’m calling it Zerodah or ZeroStalker.

Zero + Ultron = Dickbot

Hope you like blocking.

I like blocking, I do. Even if it kills you in this game.

I’m already anxious for the explotation and bodies this game will accumulate.

Ghost Zero.

Having a proper team name is key to your teams power. You can win all you want but if your team name is weak don’t even waste my time!!!

Team Canadia!

Hey, you’re the one that’s evil not me!
