So I have a question for all you Magnet-o-philes in here (c wat I did thar?):
I like Magneto as a character, and I basically like his style in this game, but I’m kind of turned off from playing him because his playstyle (though difficult to master) seems to be basically one-dimensional. It’s rush-rush-rush-mixup-rush-rush-mixup-etc. I’m much more into characters that can really vary their tactics to mess with the opponent (Deadpool, Doom, Dormammu, Ammy, Trish, Hsien Ko, etc.). Does Mags have any really useful variety like that? Is it just colored because people are used to playing him a certain way for 10 years?
If someone could put up a video of their hands while doing the sj H addf H rom loop that would be amazing. Also, if you could record the sound of the buttons and that being hit in the video as well that would help a lot with getting the rhythm down.
If it helps you, the j.H addf j.H of the Rom must be done like this.
jump and hold downforward, and then press j.H then the other 2 buttons immediatly after the first j.H, mags will addf automatically, then wait a split of second and input the 2nd j.H, then repeat.
thats the method I use and so far I can get 6 reps almost each time.
Ugh, I still can’t get his normal re-jump BNB. Feel like such a tool. How quickly after the H - adf do I want to hit the M? Like, do I want the air dash to complete? or do I want to cancel the dash asap with the M? Like seriously, this seems like such cake for everyone and yet i can’t get it. Hopefully some day I laugh about this lol
i cant get this down for shit. im in training mode right now and i do D, j. C, dash forward j. B, j. C. then i cant connect anything after that. help anyone?
This, sadly. I have no idea where I’m mistiming my button presses, but I can almost never get the re-jump H to hit. It’s gotta be something dumb I’m doing wrong. Way too experienced to be unable to execute a simple BNB
For the first time of the loop delay the j.B and j.C after the air dash forward. It’ll surprise you how much you can delay those two hits. You want to find a balance between you lander faster and keeping them high enough.
If you want to go for a relaunch from the adf, j.B, j.C then delay it as much as you can. The relaunch combo is much easier than the ROM anyway and does more damage i believe.
Also I just wanted to point out that the combo here [media=youtube]kG6bNJH4WiI"[/media], and the corner variation on his channel both make about 1.8 to 1.9 meters.
That means a few blocked EM Distruptors at the start of the round + landing that combo = Grav Squeeze ender for ridiculous damage :woot:
