IIRC, the first two characters translate to “Imperial Edict”. The Chireitou swords say “Imperial Edict: Shoryuken” with the “ken” kanji being the one for “sword” rather than “fist”.
I didn’t see it, but I assume you got that from the Japanese capcom stream.
Does she swing forward and then cancel, or swing forward and back?
why?
go play vampire savior if you like the game.
New great additions? Including people that should have been there in the first place. Amingo and Ruby Heart.
Do you like franchises staying dead or something?
Great? Vampire Savior is great, go play it if you want to enjoy the Darkstalkers series.
No I like good games being played and I don’t like good games being replaced by something “new” regardless of it’s quality compared to what was already there.
Get what you’re saying, but I’m pretty sure the window for “replacing” Vampire Savior is quite past by now. I seriously doubt that the number of people playing VS would decrease if there were a new DS4.
If you haven’t seen this, it’ll give a good example of why Thor might be better than we think. (Be sure to watch through to the end.)

Edit: And even though it’s just casual play, some good stuff here:

Where did you see that? Also, if/when you saw it did it look like she did a swing forward and then a swing back or does she just do a swing forward and leaves.
I completely forgot that if the swing assist goes both directions it won’t cross over because blocking will be in proportion to where the on-point character is. If she does swing in both directions in the assist you could make some really ambiguous mix ups if you factor in tri-jumps. Double tri-jump to screw with the block direction twice and then combo off of the hit.
Pendulun assist is one of the reasons I think she’ll work well with Wesker. Will keep the enemy locked down, leaving him free to teleport in and around to start mixups. Especially if she gets full armor off her DF on her assists, it’ll essentially be a FORCED block.
shes a neat character, some notes through the grape vine
-iad c is really good, do it instantly for a fast high attack that hits several times
-proj spam is strong, a lot like faust
-can gold iron man switch out for godlike assist pend/proj/gong
-gong is really good but seems too slow in some situations
-shes slow overall but im sure a competent player can make her strong
-kills zoning teams pretty easy
for it to crossup, you need to either leave a blank in the block string tho’ or hope they’re dumb enough to pushblock the assist.
She swings out and then back. On the Capcom live stream they did last night Niitsuma and the host of the show played a few rounds. The build(final game?) they were using had all the characters minus DLC. The host used dead girl and that was the assist he had.
You misunderstand what I’m going for. I’m not hoping for the assist itself to cross up, but to lock them in place for a bit so Wesker can teleport in and HE can cross them up.
If her Henkyou Ki is an assist, it would be really helpful against zoners. Rush-down characters will have an easier time against them since they can hide behind it or do a combo if the zoner’s projectile will hit him/her back.
I know, but to my understanding if they’re blocking the assist, going behind them and attacking won’t break absolute guard still, unless they do an AG.
edit: magus did whomever your source was say which projectile her assist was?
Curses, you’re right. Damn. Still though, still could be good for pressure.
call pendulum > teleport could be an ambiguous mixup, perfectly timed teleports behind them would be a perfect mixup. once they start blocking it, teleport in front of them instead
How do you guys think she would pair up with Skrull? I’m thinking if she has her gong as an assist it could really help him get in, or set up some teleport/command grab shenanigans. The pendulum could also be great for Skrull I think. I’m still unsure about the third character in the team, maybe Chun legs or someone with an AAA
Well mindfuckery is what I’m trying to base my team around, that sounds pretty sneaky.
