You can definitely cancel the dash at any time.
Don’t forget potentially having fully armored assists off her DF and DHCs.
That’s one of the things I’m looking forward to. If Arthur, Wolverine and Dormammu have powered up assists, then so does Hsien-Ko.
Ever since it was rumored that Hsien-Ko was going to be in, I was all over it. She’s my second favorite DS character to play as, and probably my favorite character from the series from an aesthetic standpoint. In this game, she just looks SO fun to play, and she’s going in one of my two main teams. She does look a little on the slow side, but that’s right up my alley. Hell, the team I’m putting her in is Haggar, Rad Spencer and Hsien-Ko. Anti-projectile assist, and Spencer’s claw assist sounds good for Haggar on point. 'Course, my other team is Cap, Thor and Super-Skrull. She might mix well with any of those folks, so I gotta mix and match eventually after release.
I’m super hyped for Hsien-Ko, and I’m super hyped for this game.

Since Lei-Lei’s DF stays with her when she tags out I think I now know how to run my team…
Pheonix starting on Point with Projectile assist
Morrigan with Battery Assist
And Hsien-ko with either Gong,Pendelum assist
It would be risky starting with Pheonix but my startegy would be playing the best I can with her while using Mori to Juice the Bar up and once Pheonix Goes Dark switch to Lei-Lei and play her on the field abit until I use her DF then switch to Mori…2 very buffed up dangerous assist sound good right? I just gotta watch out for those snap backs,speaking of wich would a snap back work on Lei-Lei if she was in DF mode? o.o

Niitsuma was the one who mentioned 2D sprites, simply as a conjecture when commenting on how hard it was to put the darkstalker characters in MvC3.
Chiereitou -> Full Screen Desperado would probably work. Hokuto No Haggar -> Chiereitou -> Desperado FTW.
Tenraiha and Gongs used to cover getting Hagger in might help.
Joe’s awesome Air Joe -> Air Rave tag -> Air Pendulum stuff might work out well, for some crazy high flying combos. Considering you could get into these off Mach Speed, the opportunity would present itself more often than with most others.
Dark Force Buffed Pendulum Assist would help give both of them some extra “screen-spam” which they both kinda lack.
Groovy Uppercut assist might leave them staggered just enough on jump counter for Chiereitou followup. Same for Haggar Lariat Assist.
Any time you land a dizzy projectile, you’d have free reign over how to best beat the opponent.
VJ’s slow would make reacting to Hsien-Ko’s mixup game a nightmare…
In the end, I think this game will be much less about “Can these character work together?” and more “How do I make these character work together!”
I also think tiers for this game are gonna be a hell of a lot blurrier than they have been in previous games. Everyone looks like they have something going for them that makes them totally kickass under the right circumstances. Even Ryu looks like he could score a double K.O. if he catches an assist with Shinkuu and KFCs into itself.
I think it will be something like:
Everyone Tier
Captain America Tier
Thor Tier
Except thor looks much better than captain america or ryu.
Seriously? Last time I checked, he looked pretty bad, but that was some time ago. Did anyone find anything cool for him - aside from the most awesome taunt ever, of course - that makes he look good?

That’s the most recent footage including Thor that I know of. His grab range has increased, His hammer strike thing has gotten faster, and the various strengths of it now allow for a variety of followups.
Mighty Spark assist might do pretty nice with Hsien-Ko…maybe covering her after a few pendulum pass-throughs, for example…
Last I checked he has a good laser projectile ( I think it was abit slow though) and he has decent strengh…especially when in X-Factor
