Hsien-Ko (Pendulum/Gong)/Sent (Drones/Rocket Punch {oh god please be an overhead for more salty tears})/Dante (AAA) would probably be one of the better “silver bullet” teams I can think of offhand.
All three can work the projectile/keep-away game to an extent (Sent better on run/keepaway), Sent still can put Tims on people and Jam Session/Pendulum looks like it’ll keep people in blockstun for a long, long time. Ditto Drones and Pendulum/Million Stab/Million Dollar/Tenraiha. They can all rush down in different ways, two of the three have good mixups (why isn’t anyone using Dante’s teleport?) and HSF -> Million Dollar -> Chiretsu or Reaction Face seems like a solid DHC chain.
SAB-CA has a point: at least at the start, it seems more like team building can go with “how do these characters work together,” than “only these characters work together”.
Darkstalkers 4…should definetly include Ruby Heart. ( What? I really liked her…and finding out that she was planned for DS explains why o.0)

If they make another DS game they should put in Tessa from Red Earth. Her witch motiff would fit right in with the DS cast and she already has a preliminary moveset to draw on. Plus she’s just one of my favorite characters in general.

Back then I was kinda thinking making a new character thats related to Tessa…maybe like a witch in training or apprentice of Tessa ( Maybe she’s like her niece?) , would fit well the series imo
I feel like I don’t know enough about the specific properties of Skrull’s moves other than the command grab, and combo to otg -> tenderizer -> skrull torch. The Skrull thread isn’t especially helpful for that either. But I was playing with the idea of using Skrull anti-air tenderizer assist to tag an enemy at the end of Chireitou, or in general play while ground gongs are out and they jump.
I get the feeling it could be uncomfortable for opponents to play against Skrull at certain ranges if he’s behind a gong assist and the assist is the long-duration version.
Should rename thread it so Hsien-ko more popular then sentinel. It has more posts and so what if some of them are about a different game. I had forgot before there was even a 2nd reveal.

Yep, the most hated chars by scrubs and such have the biggest threads. Ironic huh?
Not really, it actually makes sense. Scrubs flit in and out to complain about their scrubby concerns and the regs set them straight (or at least attempt to), which leads to more posts.
Tron/Doom/Hsien-Ko might be team Z part two, depending on how a few factors
- Can Ko-Ko Puff’s pendulum swing assist give Tron a throw loop like Juggs’s in MvC2, or at least give her some nice air combos? Also how will this work with Doom gun and aid in his proton array covering the skies?
- Will doom rocks/pendulum swing chip damage work in practice? will it be something you can reliably do and setup?
- Will a poweruped Hsien Ko have enough armor as an assist to allow for other charecters to approach from the air as she covers up a large portion of the screen with armor?
I’ve been looking for a team similar to Team Z since Tron was announced, a team that did heavy damage, didn’t bleed, and had GREAT chip damage, as well as having an assist with armor (something I do adore). This time might have been the answers to my prayers, and overall seems to have great synergy. This is definitely a team I’m hitting the labs with day 1.
