Her long reach, slow airdash, and random projectiles kinda remind me of Faust (but that might just be because I inadervtedly relate most fighting games back to Guilty Gear <.<)

You think Cheireitou is reliable enough to use as a go to DHC like a Shinkuu Hadouken? For example, you think itd work off of something like Deadpool’s guns or Joe’s Six Machine/Mach Speed?
I only just started playing VS recently and immediately fell in love with Hsien-Ko. As long as pendulum shenanigans are intact she’ll join my team of MODOK and Wesker.
I just noticed Hsien-Ko throws a Yashichi as one of her random projectiles. Bet nobody caught that one.
But does she have like 500 anti-airs?

You have to be within range of the first or second sword to DHC into it I think, so comboing from a laser or such will be tricky.
It just moves so slowly.
Agh that sucks. Probably shouldnt DHC into Hsien-Ko from a full screen move then, unless its to dark force.
I noticed, but didn’t have it’s name in mind (should now, though!) I just always think of it as “that uber item in all the awesome Capcom games of old!” I wonder if it has any special properties here (increased damage, assured dizzy, etc.)
Also, a few thoughts:

Her Air Dash looked cancelable. In one video (can’t find it now) she takes one step back then immediately stops and goes into a combo string.
Yeah her gong is pretty good even if it doesn’t reflect beams. Something I saw, and if it has been mentioned I am sorry, that gives her an interesting air approach is mid air gong, then forward dash behind it. Not sure it it’ll work but it looked like it could be possible from the looks of [media=youtube]r6BEAShHefc"[/media] at 1:14. Hell the gong “projectiles” stay out so long you could likely ground gong, air gong then air dash. Perhaps even air gong, air dash, low assist to set up an unblockable?
And Robo, don’t be too sad at the lack of Strider, he was one of my favs too, hopefully DLC will be kind to him.

As to the ES anki, probably not. It might be the most ass move in all the vampire games, and it can’t overcome the congealed hate.
At least to the first one, I think that’s just an immediate pendulum cancel.
Also, fuck the people who think she’s too moe; always making mountains out of molehills. Her voice is just as lilting in VS; it’s just that Marvel 3 is a much chattier game than the VS series and because of that, the English VA is saying words instead of grunts. Juggling weapons is awesome and I don’t even care about the fall on ass opening.

I’ve been wondering if Tenraiha’s spikes fall fast enough to DHC it from air hypers.

In VS, she could do a lot of things after a instantly cancelled pendulum, from double jumping to airdashing and even using another pendulum. So my guess would be no, it’s just a regular pendulum.
TK Gong was used as an AA in VS, wasn’t it? I’d say, without the ES Gong, there’s not much of a reason to actually TK it.

Fixed. While I’m not particularly fond of her voice, I think it’s fine for her character. My favorite VAs so far are Dormammu and Sentinel’s. Love that stuff.

LoL, nope, didn’t edit it. I was trying to parse what you meant, lol. Understood now. I saw others talking about Gong being changed, to prevent Houten Geki overlap, so I was refering to that (rather late, however).
Didn’t know of HATE for EX Anki, though. I personally disliked Chuukadan more… Anki was at least a nice way to get a bit more damage during Tenraiha, sometimes… (Pursuit was preferred though…)
It’d be great if if they started to fall from the height of the opponent, but I suspect they’ll simply fall from “hammerspace” at “slightly off screen” area…
On review of vid, it seems she did the Pendulum out of Super jump, so I guess the momentum is from a modified super jump. It’s cool if it’s just pendulum, of course, but a special upper-angled chain-dash would be kinda cool, too.
Hmmm, I’d figure it’d be nice simply to double up gong-waves, and punish people who try to fireball backjumping. The duration of normal gong here remind me of old ES Gong anywho…
