Not sure if anyone noticed, since im a scrub and i haven’t read anything barring the first post in this topic, but it appears she cant build meter while her powerup super is active. If someone has already mentioned this then by all means flame the shit out of me.
cant wait to start playing around with Hsien-ko. definatly going to be one of my bigger time sinks when the game is released, she is gonna be total beast in the hands of a pro!
Hsien-Ko takes the same damage as X-23. Anyone know what level that makes her in terms of health?
I bet her assists are Pendulum, Gong, and her low claw roll for a low rolling assist. Gong and a projectile seems a bit redundant.
Wouldn’t low-claw roll give you a massive window to setup an unblockable? Scary Theory Fighter at it’s finest. I hope you’re right. D:

Gong will probably be bSRK. If the grab is HCB, like most, they won’t overlap that with a qcb move.
If she has a gong assist, she’s on my team. That would be so good for a close range, slow fighter like Hulk.
Can you dash into middle of a beam and block?
The air dash ain’t fast but with the way it works you could do a lot of weird stuff with it I would think.
In VS not only the commands overlapped, there was no whiff animation for her grab. So if you did a Houtengeki and whiffed, she would use her gong instead.
But yeah, it makes sense to change the gong to a DP motion.

I’m going to devote my heart and soul to mastering this character, she has so much potential.
That’s one hell of an option select.
I’ve been thinking it might be possible to extend her air juggle by using pendulum cancel. Something like ground chain, launcher, air combo, pendulum cancel, extend the air combo. The other possibility is to do air resets like purposely end your air combo early then use pendulum cancel to force a cross over guess game in the air. I imagine with Dante’s Jam Session assist that would be pretty effective.
Really interested in seeing how much block stun & chip damage pendulum and Tenraiha does. I want to focus on making Hsien-Ko a trap based character.
Anyone else think Hsien-Ko is the new Cable?
In no way shape or form is Hsien Ko the new Cable. She doesn’t have anything even remotely close to AHVB.
Nope, she seems completely different.
I think mad amounts of people are over-rating the gongs…
What I want to know is how many extra hits she can get in with Tenraiha. In VS I used to spam stuff like st.HP (sawblade) to get a few hits in or for spacing whenever I got Tenraiha out.
Hsien-Ko is her own character but if anything I think I would relate her to either Spiral or Strider at this point because I see a lot of potential with the same trap teams as MVC2 but like I said it’s pretty hard to shake the image of the returning MVC2 characters.
MOtions are the ones from VS, yeah. If I had any doubt (like for the supers) I left the motion out.
She only has one form of projectile, and it’s a single object that is thrown slowly. How can she relate to Spiral, Strider, or Cable?
