I felt bad watching it, but imagine being the dude that got blown up. I’d just go home and sell my copy of MvC3 on eBay. That shit is demoralizing.

I hate to say it, but from what I’ve seen and played the last few weeks; MVC3 has devolved into who can get the first hit with wolverine.
I’m honestly getting flashbacks to some of the BS that came with Alpha 3.
Well, he got top 2 at a major. That’s better than I’ll do anytime soon. He probably doesn’t feel that bad about it.
I don’t know. Second place usually feels a hell of a lot worse than last place.
Justin Wong was rocking the Wolverine/Akuma love affair to the limit, holy crap. Grand Finals felt like murder. I almost felt like turning away from the screen and softly weeping rather than watch that bloodbath.
…in an awesome way of course.
Watching Justin in top 8 is getting so boring lol. No knock on the guy he is doing his thing and getting paid so mad props… but it is almost the same story every time he wins lol. The dude is just a monster.
That was a clinic on how to fight and kill phoenix. Justin did almost every trick. Short combos, still snapping in lvl5 Jean, snapping in Dark Phoenix, cutting off the airdash up option, and just blocking.
As for that poor opponent…
1)task vs wolverine starting is bad. es w/ no defensive assist.
2)block when you’re coming in? maybe pushblock? Christ!
3) Early on in a set, just come out with Phoenix rage. Wolverine’s gonna do something, and he’ll get hit and make him think twice next time.
4) Fucking start Phoenix vs Wolverine if it’s getting that bad. She does really well just being lame.
5) Play a better phoenix team…
I think it’s 10% Justin, 90% Best Friends right now.
I think Justin would actually get blown the fuck up right now by some of the new talent in MVC3 if he had to go through the gauntlet without Wolvy/Akuma on a team.
Justin is a beast, but right now he is just taking those easy mode wins.
I think Justin is the last person that people can shit on for using Wolv/Akuma. He used that team before the very first major right when the game first came out. He fucking pioneered that team, and EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. that uses that team is copying him. So yeah it’s broke, but he used it before anyone even knew it was that good.
Yeah, I’m well aware of that, I think I brought that up in another post. Justin has a talent for getting to the root of games quickly, he broke this shit 1st week, and he really hit the jackpot with it. There is no difference between how hella free the first WNF people looked to Wolvy/Akuma and the grand finals at NCR 4 months later, it’s the exact same shit.
Justin is doing the Daigo thing. Just picking the obviously broken shit this time around and moping people up. Justin doesn’t even have to apply his skill to that team, it practically plays itself, as is evident by tier whores Floe and Noel being able to do so well with it too.
He didn’t even know the team was that good. He used it because he likes Wolverine and Akuma, and the just happened to be really good together. Same with Tron/She-Hulk. The bandwagon in Marvel seems a lot more prominent than in other games though, geez.
X-Ray with that Ammy technology was fucking AWESOME! Seriously it was refreshing to see Ammy using more sword set-up’s/traps. Props to X-ray with dat Ammy.
Also, Daigo did fairly well, considering that he’s new to MAHVEL. I know that everyone has been using Dante/Wolvie/Akuma, but Daigo’s set up with Jam Session+Berserker Barrage was interesting to see as a lock down tactic. I can certainly see that being used in matches. He may not be Tokido good, but he is certainly solid right now. Some more time in the lab, and I can really see him improving!
P.S I was also looking forward to seeing his Taskmaster/Jill/M.O.D.O.K technology, but I guess he’s saving that for EVO. GET HYPE!!

Also, marvel is not a frame data study game like SSF4… Its a bulls*it game where you need to be over the top and broken to win…
If Floe and Noel are able to do so well in this game with the best friends combination why did both of them get bodied in CEO? Why did X-Ray run circles around Noel with his Ammy sword while Wong beat him?

Wolverine is retarded…again. Wolverine snap in mix ups starting to blow up Phoenix so at least he’s doing something good.
Overall a success. Phoenix was suppressed with J.Wong Wolvie but I know that cheap ass Tokido shit is coming to haunt people again.
Liked some of the stuff Daigo was doing with Dante like using the reverb shock to fireworks as a long range projectile/pressure tool. He needs to work on his overall game but he has the mindset.
