I’ve said it right after release, this game will be played around strong anchors with X-Factor.
Even if Phoenix had no Dark Phoenix, Clock would be awesome - he plays regular Phoenix really well.
He’s got one of the best Dooms on point as well; possibly better with assists to get him in… but he plays Phoenix and his other characters have to feed her meter. I would like to see him running a traditional team as a backup, but heh, it’s his decision.
His Phoenix’s aggressiveness and willingness to use meter for his other characters early on every once in a while sets him apart from other Phoenix teams though, imo. I may just be talking crap, in which case my observations are meh.
He still got like top 4 in WNF… I think it is working out for him. Doubt any of us could probably win more than 1 match there.
I still say Level 3 Dark Pheonix with X factor outweighs the inability to use supers. Frankly people crutch so much on Dark Pheonix when they could super and STILL easily get 5 meters later they don’t. Why? Because she’s that broken. I know Clock has skills but I have very little respect for that team or any Pheonix team. It’s almost like hey, play defensive and sand bang, once you get pheonix, mash for the win.
And they nerfed Sent? Pffft.
A win is a win however, rock out with your cock out. They should make a character with a super called “I win.” If you don’t use specials for the whole match he just comes out and says “I win” and the other team dies.

People don’t realize her fireballs have disgusting start up and recovery even in dark phoenix mode.
Yeah I’ve done that with Arthur’s Level 3.
I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, Arthur may have the best Level 3 Hyper in this game.
I agree, I think people over look it because they think the character itself isn’t too hot, but it’s an instant full screen super that does decent damage, hits assists, you can X-factor cancel it (So if you have 4 bars, you pretty much guarantee an assist kill by the supers alone), and it’s not too hard to combo into in general.
