-Sentinel needs a nerf. Just because Jwong and the 10% top players can get around him, doesn’t mean the 90% common players can. Its possible sure, but why is it they had to develop particular character strategies just for 1 character. Theres no anti-Phoenix strategy thats character specific, so why does Sent need specific counter characters? ALL characters should have ways around him not just some. And how long before the sent players learn to anti the anti-sentinel strategies? Not long for the dedicated Sent player I assure you.
-X-factor. Its fun but I feel it should be changed a bit for serious competitive play. Make a Defensive and Offensive X-factor. L+M+S = Defensive; M+H+S = Offensive. Defensive X-factor prevents chip and heals all your characters red life slowly over time. Offensive X-factor increases your speed and damage. Defensive makes you glow blue, Offensive makes you glow red. Keep the durations the same per level. You only get one per match, can’t use both. Easy solution IMO. Makes it so Sentinels or DPhoenixs don’t become (more) overpowered with the X-factor. You want a damage buff for Dphoenix? Great but you get no defensive properties if you do. Just an Idea.
There is already a trade-off. You can choose not to use Dark Phoenix, and you gain the ability to use 5 bars on anything else.

This is what I like to call the Blanka complaint: Just because people who practice playing can beat him doesn’t mean everyone else (the people who can’t be bothered to practice and learn) can beat him, therefore Capcom should intervene.
There’s character specific strats in every game. You don’t fight every matchup the same way vs everyone. You don’t fight Guile like you fight Geif like you fight Dhalsim. Oh noes, this character doesn’t do well vs this character. Yeah, that’s what happens when every characters is different, some character beat other characters.
and this is the reason why they won’t have better netcode cause most people that bought the game are like this.

I would change how X-Factor works. Everyone would get the damage boost of lvl 1 X-factor and every level afterward would just increase the duration.

With online with the addition of a speculator mode I also would like them to ditch the bars and started using numerical pings. Adding the ping range to matchmaking and searches would make life easier. Being able to kick people from lobbies would be nice too.

4real, I play sent, and i don’t like his big damage. It’s not like I feel dirty, been planning to play him since before release, but it feels as though sent won’t have anything going for him later. Found that he has a hard unblockable? Cool, he can still kill just as efficiently without one.
Like anything that develops for him is pointless due to the fact that we pretty much have that part of him cracked already, imho.

and why were the inputs for certain moves changed after all these years??
We only get three attack buttons that don’t make a distraction between punches and kicks. Moves had to be changed to fit the new controls. It’s a no brainer
i don’t play spiderman anymore but what qcb move does he have that made capcom just have to change his web swing to a strider teleport motion???

i agree that these things need to be changed too:
just wish Sentinal’s mouth beams didn’t have any chip damage or had a slower startup. lucky for me, morrigan and phoenix can safely crouch under his low mouth beam without getting touched.
sent doesn’t need to be nerfed. rush him down with the proper assist and he’s done. sent has to (IMO) control space to succeed. if the space is controlled by you (the opponent), he’s done. he can’t easily get out of the corner, IMO.
now x factor in general is another story…
Seriously dude it’s a no-brainier. The motion would have overlapped with web throw. With this game’s input window it could have been a disaster.
no matter how much I hate sentinel and that everybody and their mom are playing him I can live with him.
But lvl 2/3 Xfactor needs to be removed, toned down, whatever.
actually only the damage/scaling portion needs to be removed, the speed, life and duration can stay.

and hcb and qcb are nowhere near each other like a web ball and a spider sting are.
capcom changed shit just to do it in some cases, IMHO. and THATS a no brainer.
like niggas would not combo and accidentally hit a web throw regardless of the input window. the motion is too different.
when we (or maybe i) talk about input time being too long, i immediately think of something like:
ammy jump cancels turning into qcf M (or whatever)
no way in hell a web throw would turn into a web swing or vice versa.
what type of scenario would that even happen in?
I’d like to see taunt added to the map controls screen. It’s too hard to taunt on an arcade stick.
