Shit aint even the right thread for combos.
addb was specifically nerfed EVEN more than the other airdashes because of how good it was. also, try to tridash L back like you would forward. it won’t come out(at least for me). it takes longer for an attack to be able to come out after an ADDB
That was some great advice. Thanks from the both of you. Also I can wave dash backward but I don’t plink to do it. I just do it naturally. Does anybody have any advice on plink dashing? I’ve never truly understood how to plink dash correctly. Does anyone have a link to a vid or wouldn’t mind explaining the correct way to plink dash? I’m especially learning to plink dash just so I can move around better with Magneto.
regular back wavedashing is just fine. It’s what I do too and it’s fast enough for you to avoid falling missiles and anything that can be thrown at you.
I believe even Yipes does it this way.
There’s a video for plink dashing, but I dont have time to find it right now, sry. But try doing H~L+M, repeatedly. Basically you press H a fraction of time before you press L+M (or just M/L, but I find it easier if I use the 2 of those simultaneously)
maximillian has a video of it
I just found the Max video. It actually helped a lot.
Why is it that many magnetos are just becoming spammers online? All I’ve seen lately is missiles and constant disruptor not even a single combo if they get the chance.
cause attempting to play high level magnus online is almost always a death sentence unless your NYChrisG. then you do this:

ray ray does it
i have no idea how
Would you guys say having good movement with magneto is absolutely crucial? I play on pad and I want to pick up magneto, but I never thought of using the one button dash just until recently for magneto, for plink dashing and what not. my team is going to be magneto(disrupter), dante(weasel shot) doom(missiles).
i know i might have to use my right trigger button for the one button dash, but I’m so used to using it for my first assist, and it feels so awkward having to witch my button layout for this character…
yes having good movement with magneto is definitely a crucial asset to his gameplay. without practicing proper spacing of normals, specials, hypers and flight movement, you’ll be getting scraped all day.
if you want to see good movement with magneto then try to look up AGE Fanatiq, MH Rayray, Joker, Quandizzle among others.
here’s some links of each respective players channels to get your started:

yes.
Movement is more important than anything else for Mags.
Im having fun learning magneto i have to say.
I use my own version of the basic fly combo.
I have problems doing the x5 heavy combo.
So i used mediums and lights to help to a fly combo.
My current team im using with magneto is magneto/wesker/vergil
Thats good, don’t rush stuff, learn the most optional things for you and work from there
Magneto Vergil Wesker seems much better.
Really ? Is that because of dhc into spiral swords ?
DHC into swords which is much stronger than anything wesker has, Vergil gets wesker assist extensions and disruptor for mixups (if you dhc’d mags out), magneto gets a safe DHC out that also allows you to immediately estabilish an offense (swords). There’s probably some other shit im forgetting.
Delay the second j.H after the air dash by a bit. Don’t do adf j.H immediately, and you’ll be able to catch them with the magnetic blast.

Wesker/Vergil/Magneto is the best way to run that team IMO. Rapid Slash assist lets you preserve your wall bounce and DHC into a kill with Spiral Swords and both Wesker and Vergil get outright unfair with Disruptor assist, whereas neither of Vergil/Wesker’s assists benefit Magneto that much. Alot of players run Vergil/Magneto/Wesker but I don’t see the point of that composition at all.
