the assist might not be invincible but the crossover counter is still pretty viable. especially since most smart magnetos tend to carry to the corner in most mu’s. especially since you can just dhc into sougenmu loops near/in the corner

I officially changed to Magneto. I’m still struggling with his BnBs but I think some more training will solve this. My team is now Magneto/Dr.Strange/Dr.Doom. Magneto benefits from both Bolts of Balthakk and Eye of Agamotto from Dr. Strange, Bolts is somewhat similar to drones (although there are 2 bolts and 3 drones) and Eye of Agamotto is a very good lockdown assist allowing Mag to mixup his lows and mids. I like my team a lot!

Magneto/hawkeye/Doom

Does anyone know any good ways to DHC at the end of a magneto combo into a super scatter shot? Anyone got any videos of bnbs with this team?

Hawkeye 2nd has the worst DHCs damage wise period. You have to rely on resets completely due to how ass Super Scatter Shot is in the corner and Gimlet doing a lol worthy 75k damage.

They are two of the best supers in neutral, but their damage at the end of combos is garbage. Super Scatter Shot only gives 105k if you get all hits in too at max scaling. Hawkeye is better on point because of this, but he gets mauled hard at the start of the round with some characters unless you have a gtfo me assist. I don’t think you can get much extensions with greyhound at the end of combos either.

Ok good to know Im not the only one who feels that way. Thought I might be missing out on some obvious tech.

end of a combo, try H+ hawkeye assist xx hypergrav. launch and TAC into 3 rd character(doom). there is your damage.

These do a bit more damage than the counter shows, because of several poison arrows.

wolverine magneto wesker wht better team than that?

Hawkeye has terrible DHC synergy with Magneto overall sadly(this is an issue with Magneto and several characters). But Magneto doesn’t DHC well into Hawkeye and Hawkeye doesn’t DHC well into Magneto.

Most of the time with Hawkeye you want to avoid using meter in combos as it doesn’t add much damage and simply use poison tips. Only time it’s worth using meter is if you have a level 3 or a good DHC behind hawkeye(Chaotic Flame/Million Dollars etc).

Wesker should never be used on anchor, especially when you have Magneto on the team. Disruptor is too good(full screen confirms and stupid mixups) for him and Samurai Edge is nearly useless for Magneto. Play Wolverine/Wesker/Magneto, or simply switch one of Wolverine/Wesker out for a Sparda Twin, you can switch out Magneto for Akuma for better synergy with Wolverine too.

And you should be able to do some sort of LL from here but I’m ass with zero and I don’t know how to setup a LL if he’s already in sougenmu. Hit me up if this is new/you find something with it.

from what i’ve seen with magneto/zero regarding lightning loops is that he just does combo xx hyper grav loop x3 with the ryuenjin assist and then uses missiles to follow up after the otg

Anyway, after that DHC I can otg + jam Session into LL, but is there anyway to start that LL sougenmu’d, solo?

I messed around with your setup Kanta. It’s something new that I hadn’t though about. There IS a way off comboing into LL solo with Sougenmu, but it doesn’t involve the j.:s:. As the other character is falling down, time a :h: Ryuenjin as late as possible and release the buster as late as possible. Not that hard, but definitively requires some practice. The only thing I don’t like is that raw tagging into Dante is actually a better choice in the cases where your setup might be useful. Here are all of Magneto’s combo path with the team:

Clean Hits

  • Magneto Full Combo > Zero Extension > Dante Extension > Shockwave (Magneto positioned in between the meters) > LL
    [Corner/Near Corner]
  • Magneto Short Combo > :l: Hyper Grav > Raw Tag Zero > Dante Extension > LL (Works against 34 characters)

  • Any other setup (Magneto by himself, or raw tag into Dante)

Hi guys, I posted this in the other team thread, but since this I’ve already kind of specialized my team, this might’ve fit better here:

Hello guys, I’ve been having a character crisis recently. The main team I’ve been using for when the going gets tough is:
Mag(Beam)/Doom(Missiles)/Dante(Jam Session) but doom is a sort of weak link for me. And I want a difference team where I can also utilize the newer Magneto TAC infinite. So my options would’ve been:

Dante/Vergil/Magneto (the other team I used for anti-zoning and stuff)
Firebrand (Can open people up for easy corner carries into TAC infinite, cheap with Jam Session)
Viper (also corner carries, unblockables with Jam session)
Taskmaster as point (not really sure about this one, but I’ve seen Jam is his best assist)
Morrigan as second (Probably a good one, but I don’t really want to play Morrigan on pad)
Spencer (Easy damage, TACs in corner)
Phoenix anchor (Mag/Dante is a pretty self-sufficient shell, with Dante/Mag for teleport shenanigans. Also, TAC infinite for easy 5 meters)
Zero (Mag/Zero/Dante, Zero/Mag/Dante are just really nice teams)

Too many options, and I can’t really choose one. Which do you think would really go best with the Mag/Dante(Jam Session) shell?

Oh I get it now. The j.:s: AFTER the tempest. That’s actually pretty useful.

Whenever I go for the full Magneto combo into the shockwave>LL DHC, it sometimes drops on certain characters and it feels somewhat inconsistent at times. It’s also very hard for me to do on the left side seeing how the TK :m: Lightning has to be very close to the gruond.
