Been playing around with Magneto/Morrigan/Doom again, team is really, really fun. Combo I just came up with a while ago builds to bars for Shockwave/Tempest into Astral Vision or Gravity Squeeze if starting with 1 bar. Good stuff. I like how Morrigan builds her own meter by using her assist, meanwhile Mags is flying around like a mofo, chucking plasma, and fishing for scoops lol.
Magneto/Morrigan/Doom is ridiculously good. The only problem I have right now is hitting above 950k consistently with Tempest xx Finishing Shower DHC but other than that I think it’s potentially the best point Magneto team in the game.
950k is pretty fine tbh, it kills most of the relevant points and more often than not you’ll often get a projectile or chip hit here and there before landing that.
That team is godlike and Morrigan is extremely godlike herself, her mixups are so ugh, tridash jS stL xx fly jS is unblockable. I want to mess with her myself but I hate Dr Doom and I don’t want to bother learning him.
Yeah apparently you can TAC after the Shower DHC according to the Morrigan forums but I haven’t figured out how to do it yet. Her mixups are nasty, the character is pretty tough to pilot though, I’m like 1.5 weeks in and her mobility has me stumped alot.
so i’ve been fuckin around with x23 and magnus since i don’t have jill yet. you all know about the dirt nap thing and the many ways she can get into it. well it seems she benefits from EMP raw tag setups too. i was tryin x23/nova/wesker but that team is ass =/
finishing shower finishes much faster than you think it does. you can loop dp into finishing with morrigan.
most teams with X-23 on them are ass. I like the character but she’s such a bitch to make work in this game. my latest one mags/x23/drones only works because mags/drones is so good you don’t care as much about the crappy char in the middle of your team. the most competitive X-23 team might be Vergil/X-23/Magneto because then you get vergil+mags for teleport stuff, magneto anchor, and X-23 OTG for pickups with Vergil
New Magneto here playing Magneto(Disruptor) Dr Doom(Hidden Missiles) Super Skrull and unsure what Super Skrull assist to use I was thinking Stone Smite as it otgs and does a wall bounce what are peoples thoughts? For Viper with Magneto and Doom would Disruptor and Hidden Missiles be used again with her or would i switch up assists
You already have an otg with missiles, so Smite would do nothing for you. Orb Grudge however is a lockdown/get of me assist with 1 hit of armor. It’s very good.
After a while with Mag/Doom/Akuma, I’m thinking about switching my anchor. My thoughts went to Wesker and Vergil.
With Wesker, his assist with Magneto’s tri-jumping overhead/lows might be painful for the opponent.
With Vergil, I don’t have to say very much, DHC swords to finish anyone without needing any Lv 3 Hyper. Also thinking of calling missiles and teleporting with Vergil seems great to me.
Any ideas which would suit more and other setups?
Vergil. Get money. Wesker anchor is good when he comes on screen but he doesn’t do shit to support Magneto or Doom in the neutral game. The best anchors for Magneto/Doom IMO are Vergil/Amaterasu/Morrigan.

go vergil ANCHOR, not second. doom anchor isnt as strong as vergil and if you optimize your combos, you shouldnt need to DHC into swords on MOST occasions. also, doom does get a good amount of help from rapid slash assist as he can confirm off the hit and zone well with it. you can also TAC into doom for kills, which threatens resets and kill combos.

That’s the same lineup I use. Missiles are great for vergil pressure, and are decently easy to confirm off of once you get the hang of it. As far as dirty setups go, I just posted some info on a nasty repulsion reset with vergil’s rapid slash assist. Aside from that, it’s a great assist for mags anyways.
I’ll try both positions I guess and see which fits me better. Having Vergil as anchor would lose me the Missiles assist for him. On the other hand, Doom doesn’t take a million without level 3 or XFC, so Vergil might DHC with swords and those could swap over and over. Same for Magneto, if he gets to DHC into Vergil, Vergil can capitalize by Mag’s beam assist as his teleport there is almost invisible behind the beam.
I wonder how Vergil could serve Magneto and help his game, but it looks like r313n71355 has some stuff on resets posted.

I run Vergil last on that team too. I personally don’t think Vergil with Missiles is that overpowering but it’s the decent fit I found for Magneto point team with Vergil in it besides Magneto/Vergil/Amaterasu. Rapid Slash assist is actually decent for both Mags and Doom and you get access to the Doom/Vergil THC which is quite good, plus you get a top 2 anchor instead of Doom anchor. If you get your Magneto killed, the Vergil 2nd composition has a tendency to fall apart since he has like no options against incoming mixups other than YOLO Helm Breaker…then you’re stuck with Doom…
Does anyone here actually do well with Magneto/Akuma?
I’m still trying to make my Dante/Magneto/Akuma team work, but I’ve been thinking about switching Akuma out for Drones… It’s just that the assist sucks for Dante.
Yeah, actually having to play vergil second sucks. Having to eat that incoming mixup is brutal, but he’s so strong in second slot that I like to think it’s unlikely mags will die. Plus there are tons of safe DHCs/fun tech with that team. I would note that instead of playing vergil like vergil when I have him in devil trigger, I play him as a zoning character. You’d be surprised how effective missiles+ s.H/stinger xxjudgement orb spam is. Not to mention after pummeling them with round trips and judgement orbs for a while (crazy chip dmg), it’s pretty easy to catch someone off guard for a s.H xx rapid slash.
Another thing I’ve found really helps for the incoming mixup if, god forbid, mags dies, is to try to have vergil in devil trigger already. That gives him access to a double jump as well as an incredible air dash, as you well know, at least allowing for a little mobility. Also, though I know the YOLO helmbreaker (lol) can work well in some circumstances, many players online will have setups to get around aforementioned expected helmbreaker. I find mixing in the j. S (safe on block) can be useful in that it is unexpected… but watch out for meaty setups/throws.

Someone should really really take a page from Bee and run Magneto/Frank/Dante. This team has ridiculous potential, I just hate Frank.
