Well ,as i see it now my team is going to be Spiderman,Dante and X23.I’ll also try C.Viper and Phoenix.I think that Dante’s A assist,which is like captain commando’s assist in mvc2(don’t remember the name) ,is going to be helpful for Spidey,since he can start his huge air combos from there and probably even combo into maximum spider from that.Spiderman and X23 are two of the fastest characters in the game and i think with the web zip line Spidey will have some new good mixups.X23 is a rushdown character which fits my style and she has a broken level 3 hyper combo.Dante is the guy who will probably have an answer for everything with his 40+ special moveset and he’s cool as hell.Ultimate web throw now seems a good hyper combo since its AA unblockable and it also deals very good damage.I’m also hoping that we wil have a free UWT after we ko an opponent’s team member and another comes in,as it was mentioned on a previous post.
I anticipate that this game will be balanced and not like that mvc2 crap,where 10-15 characters ruled everyone.

Spiderman’s mobility and combo ability looks pretty insane in this game. Web zip seems to be an amazing feature, even though the startup is on the slowish side, once he gets going, he’s there in a jiffy. My only concern is that even tho you can cancel web swing (both the dash version and command version) and web zip with any normal at any time, does this mean that once he starts one of his web mobility moves he’s completely vulnerable and unable to block. for instance, can opponents just throw out a free shoryuken (or full screan super, like amaterasu’s elements) that they KNOW will hit on reaction when they see one of these moves come out?
I’m sure thats not the case. It seems like he has better recovery time than from MvC 2, but if your opponent is waiting for a zip or web dash just bait them.
yea baits would be fine, but im asking if they could do this on reaction to a zip or dash.
Yes of course they can react, but its still to earlier to say what beats what. Like if the zip can stop a super on reaction.
That is not at all what I am asking, this is not a what beats what scenario. I am asking if an opponent can fire off an AA or instant full screen super on reaction to simply SEEING spidey stick out some web for mobility. Since spiderman can only cancel these web moves with a normal (thus, not blocking), can spidey recover in time to block these attacks?
If Spidey’s full screen he’s not gonna get hit if he cancels is he? At close range you’ll be using it in block strings and covering with an assist.
Man some of those combos were insane. His cross-up ability with the web swing in some videos looks deceptive too.
I can certainly see the web zip being punished on reaction.
If it’s anything like a 8 way dash then it shouldn’t be getting punished by to much if anything

It didn’t in MvC2, but it was actually better that way because it was the only dp assist (besides Psylocke) that put the opponent in a juggle state.
I think one of spidermans’ Hypers is HCB+AA. I can’t remember which one but I remember of HCB in his command list.
