What I mean is can’t you combo it off of an OTG bounce?
Example: S, Super Jump, j.M, j.M, j.H, S, Wesker Assist off the ground bounce, UWT.
Or does that not work? Can you only do it off of Web Swing, j.M, j.M, j.S, s.M? I’m just trying to figure out what the setups are for the reset cause I’m reading a few here and I haven’t had any success with them. Trying to up my Spiderman game while at the same time trying not to drop him (Ironman or Doom is looking like a better fit for the last spot but I love playing Spidey).
I’m kind of at a loss cause it’s really hard to make Spiderman/Wesker/ChunLi work. The last 2 work so well. Spidey doesn’t bring anything to the table though outside of being an outstanding point character (but the team on the whole struggles with keep away unless I’m approaching it all wrong). Any pointers on top of the UWT setups would be helpful.
Edit: It’s not that I’m valuing UWT setups highly it’s just… I can’t do them. And I’m trying to understand why. I can do all of the other combos in the guide with him…but everyone on here is using UWT setups and I attempt to use them and I’m just stupified as it doesn’t connect like I’m seeing in people’s videos. Am I just…doing it wrong?

Anyway, you have to UWT after they flip back but before they hit the ground. Time it too early (before flip) and they are in hitstun and thus can’t be grabbed, time it too late they are ground and UWT will miss. Found this video: [media=youtube]bb1aN3T2LL8[/media]
Thank you. So I AM doing it too early. I appreciate that and I’ll practice it when I get done work later today. Now all that’s left is to try to figure out why I’m performing so poorly with the team I’ve chosen. I’m just struggling against any sort of keep away and I’m trying to find a way to make it work.
Perhaps I need to find ways to incorporate Web Ball assist into my game to get in on people with my other characters or just practice Airdash/Webzip tactics.
If you have something like Wesker’s OTG assist you can call them out after UWT hits and combo off of it. You can also XFC Maximum Spider after the animation is finished, call an OTG assist, and continue your combo.
Hey guys, just started using spidey. For some reason sometimes when im doing his spidey sting H in a combo, the 2nd hit doesnt come out, no matter how many times or how fast I push it. It’s always random and it’s really irritating. Anyone know why or have advice please?
Im mashing it but the 2nd hit will only come out like half the time
Edit: I think I solved the issue. For some reason when I do spidey sting with H, the 2nd hit will come out randomly. but when I do it with L or M, it will come out on command. I guess this will have to do…
Question: Ive been randomly doing a tiny little wall jump when spidey hits the edge of the screen. Does anyone know what the input for this was? Thanks in advance.
So I was looking into that j.L instant overhead people were talking about and couldn’t find much use for it. It does work nice on Sentinel, probably Hulk too. I’ve been using Iron Man’s repulsor assist and if you do instant j.L+repulsor assist, j.S, Max Spider, you can get a nice chunk of damage on Sent.
Anyways the instant j.L won’t hit on most characters, at least reliably. I did find however, that if you dash towards your opponent and wait till the very last part of the dash animation j.M will instant overhead every time. If you just stand next to them and j.M it will whiff. Tested on crouching Storm and Mags. Now if we could find a reliable way to set this up it could be useful.
