It’s still my favorite move in the game, and it still makes him sound like a nazi.
Seems like Capt won’t be getting invulnerability on his Charging Star.
I talked to Seth yesterday and he mentioned that in exchange, the special had really good recovery and was a lot safer. He felt (which I agreed to as I abused it) that it was worth the change. Obviously up to opinion.
Unfortunately I completely forgot to ask him about double jump. However at this point, I don’t think Capt is getting his double jump back.
In this game, I don’t think Capt needs it. He still is really strong without his double jump and invulnerable Charging Star. He does great damage, his Shield Slash hits on the way back (the best part is that you can still combo and do supers on the guy leading to false crossup confusion), and has great mobility.
As a character as a whole, I think he’s solid and the changes were will worth it. Definitely one of my mains day one.
I totally agree with this statement. As much as I would like to have double jump back, it doesn’t seem like he needs it. A few other things to add:
-I mentioned in another thread that Seth said Cap was one of the highest health characters in the game, only behind Thor and Hulk.
-I really like Shield Slash. Not a lot to add to it, but I think in the beginning of the game’s lifespan that return trip hitbox is going to mess with people.
-A -> B -> C -> Final Justice doesn’t connect. You have to get them mildly airborne for it to connect. Wasted 3 of my meters. 
Cap looks fun, I think I’ll give him a shot. That shield flying all over the place looks fun 
I’d just like to add that if Cap doesn’t have an eagle land on his arm and yell GOOD WORK SOLDIER I will be more than upset
We’ll probably get Good Work Soldier. The Eagle…might be a bit more of a problem.

He might still get thumbs up soldier for his taunt. The only character who has shown a taunt so far is Tron Bonne.
I’m just happy he has some shit-talking. I was worried he wouldn’t have many character specific intros since they’d just try to make him patriotic.
after playing a lil mvc, i was gonna ask if cap had his air combo where you could land 6 lps, mk and end with hp but i guess not.
smh @ him not having a double jump. even if its not needed its become part of cap IMO. oh well.
Yeah, I want the jab combo back also.
T. Hawk had his Hawk appear in his victory animation, don’t see why they can’t do that with Cap.

It was an eagle in the game and it would’ve been nice if Cap had the double jump. Heard he did in one of the early builds. Marvel must’ve told them that it wasn’t faithful to the character.
