MvC3: Felicia thread V2: For All your Broadway Catgirl Nun needs!

Speaking of which, since I’ve only heard about this slightly, how big a nerf are we talking? What kind of changes should we expect to our combos? (Though some of this might be remedied by the air Delta Kick, yeah?) I know you’ve rocked some awesome Felicia in your Ultimate play so far Crispy, so I’d love to hear your and anyone else’s opinion.

You can still use toy touch after an air throw, but thanks to the hit stun nerf, you can’t use it to jump cancel into Rolling Buckler slide into Dancing Flash or Please Help Me. Most of these changes will be remedied my Air Delta Kick, but I gotta get used to the timing first lol. Oh, and you can still use Toy Touch after comboing into Rolling Buckler Slide (like demonstrated in the video against Zero at EVO2K11.)

Can you do something like ground combo > BBCS > toy touch > jump cancelled delta kick > etc? Or is it only the air delta kick that does groundbounce?

Actually…can you just TK a delta kick after the toy touch?

Delta Kick would be too slow to combo after Toy Touch methinks, I’m guessing you could do something like: LMH xx RBS > LM:df:M j.MMH xx Air Delta Kick S sj. MMHS but then the hit stun is too much to pick them up with a Toy Touch at the end. Might as well do a Toy Touch in the SJ and finish with a Dancing Flash or PMH.

Might still be able to use an assist in conjunction with the Toy Touch at the end.

Will it be recorded somewhere? I’ll try to catch as much as I can, but I have some things to take care off, so I don’t think I’ll be able to catch all of it.

Is it confirmed that any aerial Delta Kick’ll cause a groundbounce, or just during an air magic series following a superjump? If so, just once per combo, thereby removing any super follow without an otg assist, yeah?

I’ve heard it causes normal hitstun against a grounded character. Haven’t seen it yet though.

Toy Touch -> Dancing Flash is probably still possible if you have a decent lockdown assist.

Didn’t catch the stream last night, was really looking forward to seeing U.Felicia in action :frowning: I imagine that Hawkeye works great with her though, as I hope. Here’s hoping that Ironfist and her work together.

Air to air ground bounce if I remember correctly, so think Wolverine’s dive kick. And yes, barring some very special cases, one ground bounce per combo. you should be able to use almost any assist along with Toy Touch to add a hyper to the end of any combo you use that ground bounce for a relaunch in. Or just go for a Wesker style reset.

One thing I’m curious about: Can she still follow-up Please Help Me with a lengthy OTG combo?

So do we know what Felicia’s mashable hyper combo is? Is it Dancing Flash or PHM?

Also, I thought that they said her Rolling Buckler would no longer bounce off opponents if she didn’t follow it up with a finisher, though in watching the match of Crispy Tacoz vs A Rival, it’s very clear that it still does.

Edit: Just rewatched CT’s first match against A Rival and saw that PHM did like 67 hits, taking down about 60% of Strider’s health at least. Yeah, that seems like a mashable, lol. Sweet Jesus.

Level 3 is the mashable hyper for her lol. Notice that in Vanilla, PHM did 40 hits max, and against Strider, I did like 85 hits (with the help of arrows assist lol.)Maybe her level 1 is mashable, but I haven’t tried it out yet.

Rolling Buckler slide IS safer on block though. You still get bounced off if you don’t have a finisher (e.g. Neko Punch, Slide, but Uppercut is still unsafe.)

Any word on if air delta kick ground bounces at normal jump height?

I’m sure Dancing Flash would be mashable, but PHM being mashable is absolutely brutal. I wonder what other characters that have level 3s that are mashable…I hope Darkness Illusion is!

Watching your matches got me really excited for UMvC3 and Felicia in general. I’m liking how she is turning out. The only thing that would make her perfect in my eyes is reduced recovery frames on Cat Crawl, and the return of Neko Spike as being an optional finisher to Rolling Buckler Uppercut to score a hard knockdown. Guy can dream!

Good shit. I see Crispy’s running Feli on point now - would you recommend that despite her XFC bonuses, or is CrispyTacoz-level pressure required to really run her effectively there? =P

I prefer Felicia on point for Ultimate because if I do that in Vanilla Marvel, I’d get DHC glitched to death lmao.

I prefer the pressure game better especially since Hawkeye’s assists help her out a lot (not to mention Felicia finally has a way to cover the air.)

To answer the normal jump height air delta kick question, it still ground bounces.

I was honestly hoping her Lv3 would be her mash hyper. I means we can mash and mash without it scaling OR accidentally going into X-Factor.

Shit, is her Lv3 without mashing the same as it was in MvC3? I mean, I wonder how much freaking damage it can cause when fully mashed? Even an extra 200k would be absolutely devastating.

If you play Type B on a stick, just stick with mashing the top 3 buttons lol.

That’s the problem, I don’t play on a stick - only on a d-pad.

I got no problem with a stick, it’s just that I put too much energy into my movements. Unless the stick is mounted to something sturdy and immovable (like, say, an arcade cabinet), I’ll be spending more energy fighting to keep the stick in my lap than fighting my opponent.

What is the tourney convention on carrying a big-ass podium with a control panel on your back like Nick Wolfwood and just plopping it in front of the TV when it’s your turn to play?
