Yeah, but that could also change her combo after the Rolling Buckler Slide BnB combo. j.MMHS might not anymore. I could be wrong, but unless that change is totally confirmed, there better be some buffs on the side.
Felicia is a character they most likely did nothing but buff so I wouldn’t worry too much.
Hopefully a damage output buff would be confirmed or something along the lines. She needs it for sure. :3
I heard someone say she got nerfed, but that neoempire article isn’t loading because the site seems to be down, so I dunno what they were talking about. I assume it’s the “OTG>Dancing Flash=No More” thing, which does severely limit her damage output in combos.
I’d assume she did get more buffs than nerfs, but we all saw how AE turned out…
I’d only be concerned if cancelling into Cat Spike L no longer works. As long as we can still do that, we’ll have a combo off of Toy Touch into Dancing Flash.
That sounds like a cruel and pointless nerf. God forbid not letting her do a tricky OTG cancel into super is overpowered when lost of other characters can either OTG super or OTG special into super anyways.
I’m just hoping these people failed at range where it currently fails so don’t know any better. Otherwise hopefully they’ll see sense and put it back.
Felicia isn’t the only person this is happening to so you might wanna calm down a bit before making assumptions on things. Sentinel also lost his ability to do the easy launch BBCS ground L rocket punch super stuff. Now he has to TK L rocket punch into hard drive instead outside of specific spots on the screen. They’re changing around the combos a bit but if all you have to do is change the buttons you press it’s not that big of a deal. Plus just about everything else Sentinel got is basically buffs any way (he’s faster, drones assist is faster) so there’s definitely room for Felicia to be better overall as a character especially since I already found one of her buffs any way just by watching.
I thought Sentinel can still OTG Rocket Punch into Plasma Storm? The only reason why HSF doesn’t work is because of the drones not hitting correctly or something along the lines. I better check it out at the UMVC3 booth at EVO and see this for myself.
You could get better post combo opportunities off HSF than Plasma Storm so it is a significant change. Either way it can be got around by changing which moves you use or your execution. I’m sure you’ll find some way around it or something else that works.
I guess it’s a good thing I usually use assists with Toy Touch, should still be able to time it with Quick Work and Jam Session.
Lets not forget you can also Toy Touch - > Team Hyper Combo to trigger Dancing Flash.
I consider the faster drones to be a nerf, because it’s now a true blockstring and left/right mixups won’t work as well with it anymore.
Anyway, I still haven’t found any footage of Felicia in UMvC3, but that doesn’t really matter. We probably shouldn’t worry too much, since things are going to change in the next 4 months.
…anybody going to EVO to test these things out, though?
Oh, and I’d be surprised if anything else worked when OTG > Dancing Flash doesn’t. Dancing Flash is 8 frame startup; L Catspike is 10, and Rolling Buckler is…well, light is 5 frames of startup, but it’s light and may not move quickly enough.
The main point of drones was just to cover up screen space any way. I don’t think the developers intended for them to be one of the best assists for left right mix ups because the start up for them was terribly slow any way. Now with the faster start up characters that are reliant on high low mix ups like Spidey can take more advantage of them and get the drones out on screen faster to cover up space as they go in. Wolverine/X23/Wesker may not be able to get left right mix ups in the middle of the drones but the fact that they release faster gives you faster access to the left right mix up in the first place. There’s quite a few assists (especially beam based ones) that stop Sentinel drones from ever being on the screen. Ever since I’ve used Doom Beam anyone I play in a tournament with Sent drones assist almost never gets to actually call the drones.
Generally the fastest left right mix up assists are the ones that start up fast so you don’t have to worry about protecting the assist for so long just to set up the mix up. Now those characters won’t have to spend so much time picking a good spot for Sentinel to come out without losing half his life.
I’ll be upset if we can’t do Toy Touch > Dancing Flash after PHM anymore

Not only is Air Delta Kick confirmed, but it GROUND BOUNCES AFTER AN AIR SERIES. I’ll trade nerfed Toy Touch for that.
Wow, so super easy combo LMH XX RBS > LMHS > sj.MMH xx Air Delta Kick > land Dancing Flash or something. Could probably get another air combo in there as well but be interesting how hit stun reduction can work with that. Ground bounce should hopefully mean an easy PHM as well :3
