MvC3: Felicia thread V2: For All your Broadway Catgirl Nun needs!

It’s what I’ve been using, but it doesn’t go together nearly as well as Felicia and Dante’s Third Palette.

Question: How does Felicia play vary from 1st on point vs team anchor? In my team Felicia has always been on point, so I can take advantage of assists (Tron flame/Sentinal A) to help get in and create opportunities. However I’m looking to replace sentinal with Dom. And I think Dom is much more reliant on assists to get pressure off. Plus Felicia A and Dom’s teleport can create a sexy unblockable.
However if Felicia is at anchor, is x-factor enough to compensate for lack of assists?

I wouldn’t want to put Felicia as anchor unless you REALLY want a kitty on crack. But she works best as either on point or as a second character. Rolling Buckler would be the best assist for OTG follow-ups, but not really sure about “unblockable” set-ups yet.

If you are gonna roll with Dorm on point, if you want that keep-away game instead of shenanigans, roll with Sand Splash. Sand Splash has the same priorities as Hulk’ Gamma Wave, eats up projectiles like no tomorrow.

Lv3 X-Factor Felicia is stupidly fast she’s pretty damn hard to control. She probably is best on point or second so she has assists to allow her to get in easier.

Shame Sand Splash assist is about 2/3 the distance of the regular H version (same amount of hits though) :frowning:

That wavedashing glitch works for Deadpool and Taskmaster too, I’m pretty sure. While it may be character specific, it’s still useful knowledge making her mixup game even more dangerous.

Also, if you think Level 3 XF Felicia is hard to control, try Level 3 XF Mad Beast Jill…

Is Shuma really a good assist for Felicia? I missed the discussion, anyone care to explain how Shuma helps her?

Because I’ve been looking for a decent 3rd character for a while now… I’m a 5th lord and I still haven’t decided on a third character for my team.

My team is Felicia (Cat Spike)/Shulkie (Somersault)/???. I’ve been alternating between Dormammu (Dark Hole) and MODOK (Psionic Blaster) but I find more and more that I seriously need a good projectile assist. I like MODOK but psionic blaster has a slight delay that could potentially be deadly for me. Might Shuma be the teammate I’m looking for?

I still haven’t *seriously *played with Shuma, but I do know that his Mystic Ray assist is pretty damn good for just about anybody. It covers a good chunk of the screen and it OTGs.

I’m still rocking The Devilstalkers with Dante (Jam)/Felicia (Buckler)/Morrigan (Soul Fist). No matter how much I try to experiment with other teams, I *always *go back to that one when the chips are down.

Mystic Ray is a good assist, but it still delays just like MODOK’s Psyonic Blaster. :confused:

BUT, it can double as an effective anti-air as well, which is why I like it.

Also, anyone find any changes to her in the new secret patch? I think she’s the same, but I could be wrong (there was so much ruckus over the Sentinel health nerf that the site was down and I couldn’t come to post this yesterday, lol).

Her damage, stamina, and XF boosts are all the same.

Cat Spike loop is still in, so hooray for that. :3

The only thing I could see them changing is possibly range on some normals slightly and maybe some frames, but that’s it. Her health is really decent considering it’s more or less a little below average so that wouldn’t change.

Yeah, I don’t imagine they’d have reason to patch her anyway. If she really is “low tier” by Capcom’s standards and required a buff, then there isn’t much I think would be possible other than a damage buff. Her struggle at long range is a staple of her game, and she’s too good at pressure for a significant health addition.

Gotta say, I’m loving Felicia more and more every day. She’s the best character on my team at the moment, and is really the only one where I just have a blast every time I do anything. It’s a rollercoaster all the way until she dies. =(

Interesting Felicia play by Chen at the VERY end of the WNF stream. Really didn’t do anything other than the L Catspike loop and the delta kick blockstring in X-Factor, but hey, it works. :slight_smile:

I really need to get the Catspike loop down, but it’s still pretty tough for me. Generally Lvl 3 X-Factor will kill them with just standard combos, though.

“Standard combos” might need a little fiddling to compensate for her insane speed :o

Bet the majority, if not all, of those tags were added when there wasn’t separate character forums.

I dunno, Felicia’s one of the few characters where I can still do the exact same BnBs with level 3 X-Factor, albeit twice as fast. Some characters you have to skip a few attacks because the juggles are just all messed up.

That said, you can make Felicia’s combos a LOT more complicated in X-Factor, something I haven’t even begun to experiment with. I only recently started throwing in Toy Touch mid-combo to do a small juggle before her launch, and I’m still struggling with OTG Toy Touch into level 3.

Practice the loop at Level 2 X-factor first. It should be easier for you to get the timing down than level 3 lol.

Take note of Sprint’s X-factor combos to see what kind of crazy juggle potential she has with X-factor. Not sure if it is REALLY practical or not, but worth looking at.

I can almost pull off the jump cancel Rolling Buckler slide into PHM in a real match, but when get the hyper the combo gets dropped :(. Seems like I can only do it in training mode for now lol.

I know right? I can pull off all these great combos with her, but can never preform them outside of training mode, lol.
