It’s a launch-day tournament, so I can’t run Hsien-Ko on account of her being locked. Gotta use a team that is available from the get-go.
Appreciate the feedback, guys. Main reason I want Haggar is I feel I need someone with strong defense, and I’ve always had a strong preference for grapplers. I have thought about using Arthur for a projectile-spam assist, though - only problem is he has such a strange way of moving, and I’d rather not have to get used to that at the same time I’m fighting for my life. Perhaps Storm would make a decent projectile-spam character.
Wesker and She-hulk have low assists as well… She-hulk is a bit meaty too so you can use her in place of Haggar for a “healthier” character AND a low assist.
I love how fast and varied her approach can be. Quick overhead hops, cross up hops, rolls into slide or neko-punch, other-axis crossup dashes, quick ground wave-dashes, or angled quick dive kicks.
And does she still have her wall-stick? I was thinking that it might help her avoid hailstorm, if she can superjump and grasp on. And with the amount of full-screen teleports in this game, it could provide a pretty serious hassle.
Yeah, I was wondering about that bit when I saw it. I wanted to see if her super would really beat them, but it cuts out at just the “right” moment. Hopefully some lucky duck with a copy can confirm this, as it could be a game changer.
Making it invincible would make up for them turning it into a lv3.
Making it invincible AND an OTG would make it up for being a level 3. Cat run goes through Sentinel’s Plasma Storn, but can still sort of hit behind. Hit low and you are all good.
She still has the wall cling, but not quite sure if it can avoid Hailstorm chip even if superjumped. Sounds good, but we’ll see.
DHC Dancing flash is going to screw up so many people. If only the DHC in that video was during the last wave of Hyper Sentinel Force. Sentinel is gonna be so screwed.
Thanks for confirming/askin around for info about the wall grab, everyone!
Yeah, that invincibility on “Please help me!” was great to see (Makes it kinda a counter, to a degree!), and I’m so glad Dancing Flash seems buffed in this game (In activation rules, and invincibility). Really with it was a proper catch to a degree, but it’s much better than the “Hit an unproperly set up opponent, and do nothing!” crap from MvC2.
Still wish she had the Sand Splash Tsunami, I wonder if they left it out due to animation reasons? (There is nothing that begins to resemble water in this game. Closest we get is Dormammu’s sticky floor miasma.)
I haven’t been following Felicia too closely until recently, so I was just wondering; why do people call her style “linear?” It looks to me like she has a million options with fantastic mix up potential.
But they didn’t even finish the video. Can’t tell for sure what the result of that was so it’s too early to celebrate.
Maybe it only goes through one round of projectiles right when you start DF. Besides, she’ll have to worry about multiple & continuous guns and beams most of the time, how useful is it really going to be if it can only go through projectiles that hit one time?
Also, won’t DF only take away like 1/7ths of Sentinel’s life bar?
Still, gotta love the optimism…
EDIT: BTW, sorry if this was mentioned already but the reason Felicia got hit by Sentinel’s hyper even after dashing around it was because she actually pushed him forward into the beam and got caught in the process.
