Not much to explain here really. Only questions left to be answered here strategically are:
Is Please Help Me an OTG hyper?
Rolling Buckler trip combos and continuation of said combos and how long can you do them for?
How crazy IS her mix-up game?
It’s really all down to those 3 things that’s on my mind so far, so everything else is already thought up of. Besides, other threads are pretty much either dead or just not enough activity in it. :3
you could do that, they’ll have an opportunity to roll away tho’, not sure if you can force a backwards roll from the ground.
Edit: you always block towards the point, so crossing up with helper shouldn’t work on its own. You’d have to have her start her attack and then pass by them somehow.
I’ll definitely be using her, seeing as I’ve used her in every game she’s been in.
I’ll be participating in a tournament the minute it launches (and thus, will be going in with no first-hand experience), and I’d like to know what partners and assists will really benefit her. Under the assumption that she’s going to have mostly the same strengths and weaknesses she had in MvC2, I’d think she needs a strong Anti-Air Assist and either an Overhead or Low-hitting Assist for mix-ups.
I’m personally wanting to put her and Haggar together, but I have no idea what his assists are. Only assist I’ve seen in action is his lariat. If he has an anti-air, overhead, or low-hit assist, I’d really like to know.
There’s tons of anti-air assists, but it look like Morrigan would be the best fit on account of Felicia’s Rolling Buckler Assist benefiting Morrigan while she’s on point for mix-ups. Zero is another I’m considering, on account of how beastly he looks on point in many of the videos that are out there.
For the overhead or low-hit assist, though, I’m not seeing many options. The only overhead assist I’ve heard of is C.Viper’s Burning Kick. The only low-hit assist I’ve heard of, aside from Felicia herself, is X-23. Honestly, neither of these options are very appealing to me. Should I just ignore this strategy, and instead rely on Kitty Helper for overheads while I use Felicia herself to do low attacks?
So, yeah, it looks like Felicia/Haggar/Morrigan will likely be the team I roll with, unless there is some fatal flaw with that combo.
Morrigan has the tri-dash for overheads, so that is covered. Morrigan also has one of the best AAA in the game. Haggar has no overhead/low assist I know of, but complete invincibility on Lariat might work. I personally would swap Haggar out for some one with a projectile assist.
