If you remember Okami Ammy uses weapons. She uses stone discs, swords, and beads. I’m guessing the game would use her default weapon. For normal attacks for the stone flame disc just flies off of her from a distance and hits the opponent like that. Her block animation would be the same animation for the game when you pressed triangle. The final boss from Okami made an appearance so Ammy isn’t a stretch.
She would probably have the best supers in the game. I wonder if they would be interactive and reminiscent of the game, like using the analog stick to draw a bomb to create a bomb or two straight lines to slow down time.

Lol I may be the stereotypical “OMG I’m 09er and I love this!” as you put it, but you definitely fill the stereotypical dumbass who complains about something before he knows anything about the game. Just cause they mention sf4 doesn’t mean that you won’t like the game. If you feel the sf4 direction isn’t a good direction then don’t get your hopes too high, but writing off the game altogether based on some VERY obscure information is f’ing stupid.

Yes it does have everything to do with logic. Mainly, dissing a game based on it being 2.5D instead of 2D has everything to do with logic in that it has none of it. It’s complete nonsense actually, since it will have absolutely no impact on the actual gameplay, which is, I assume, why we buy fighting games.

I’m p. hyped for this… though it will be disappointing if they don’t include the OG X-Men cast (maybe even include more). I’m not trying to be a pretentious purist but picturing the 90s X-Men in HD graphics like SF4’s made me jizz a little.
