Yo, I know next to nothing about the game and I completely hate it already. Also 3D is pig disgusting!!! Only 2D is applicable to my hipster douche bag sensibilities. Flat vidya 4eva. Picasso > Giambologna ALWAYS!
No.It’s just Capcom and it’s artists have created games in the past that not only played great but really had a strong identity and presence thanks to their “art direction”.You’re allowed to state your distaste if you see that great work in the past slowly vanish from their newer games.
Sorry to argue for another person, but if something you liked before is gone you have right to express yourself.
Personally I don’t think the SF4 looks that bad in motion(although the models are horrendous in some frames). However,I do think cel shaded models would work much better for marvel because they are a nice compromise between having a hand drawn inked look and a more modern 3D model.
Honestly, if I see anything like TvC graphics I’ll be pretty disappointed. We’re talking about comic book characters, I want this game to actually look nice.
I’d like to know where people are getting their information from that this game has this so called “hand-holding scrub SF4 system” in it?
I want to play this copy you speak of. Can I borrow your time machine?
I believe this is what it was stated on the Eventhubs article
? This will be another 2D fighter ? gameplay-wise ? but will be something of a cross between the original Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter 4.
I don’t see anywhere where it says the the game is going to have ultras or fadc in that statement?
I don’t even think it’s even necessary to state yet again that the gameplay engine programmers don’t do the same job as the graphic design team. In terms of development they do two entirely different tasks.
I rather not wait 3 years for Capcom to make 50+ sprites (and their frames) just to appeal to purists. Long live 2.5D. Games come out quicker this way, and they’re more flexible (Vega needs a new move, animate it! New drawing!). And it’s not like 2D sprites are dead, other developers are still releasing games in that art form. Capcom will also release past games of the art form on XBLA/PSN for the purists. And one day Capcom will humor us with a new game in the sprite style.
I think the main thing is just…how would she (and for that matter, “Chibi” from the DS sequel) “fight”?
It’s one thing to have little robot girls, girls in mecha and the like fighting against the others in Capcom and their visiting parties’ stables, but Ammy is a QUADRAPED. The funky hitbox and other aspects of gameplay would probably make it too “interesting” to try to implement in a game like this.
If anything, maybe they’d just use Susano, and have Ammy appear in his supers. Could make for good quasi-joke character material…
Yeah Amaterasu definitely needs to make an appearance. How would he work though? The only 4 legged animal I’ve seen in a fighting game is that dog from Jojos.
