MvC3: Claws and a Bra. X-23 Thread

Yeah, it’s pretty easy to time. Just go into training mode to get it down. It’s kind of essential that you do as Ankle Slicer is pretty much her cornerstone of doing any type of good damage with meter.

First of all… She is and one of my mains… But one thing I’m interested in… Why Capcom gave her an hyper where she turns invisible?

She never had a power like this in the comic.

^
I think its meant not as her “going invisible” but as her “going stealthy”, surprise attack assassin style.

The same way that Wolvie has Fatal Claw, where he “unleashes” a giant X that hits you, having never done anything like it in the comics. As with the X-23 thing, i’ve always assumed its not meant literally. In Wolvie’s case, maybe a barrage of attacks in an X pattern that are too fast for us to see or something.

So yeah, I think X-23 going invisible is not meant as her actually going invisible. They wanted to get the stealthy part of the character into the game, and that was the only way they found to implement it.

Sup guys. Messing around in training today I found a potential ambiguous cross-up setup for our girl. Start out with a st.A or st.A, H string and cancel into 214C hop. On block, you will hop over their heads. The moment you pass to the other side, do air 236A talon kick. Sometimes this will cross up the opponent, sometimes it wont. It looks very tricky.

Keep in mind, this is only in theory,as I have only practiced it in training mode. I’ll try it in some matches this week and let you know if it’s actually viable.

I noticed that X-23 isn’t effected by push block with you hop simultaneously with the push block. So, abc xx l.hop kept me in the opponent’s face even when push blocked.

EDIT- Not sure if this is known information or not, so don’t murder me. Q___Q

two tidbits:
1 - feints, when charged, can be canceled with S. makes all sorts of stuff even safer.
2 - for air combos, M, M, H, d+H, then qcf+L, adds damage without ruining the scaling.

didnt want to dig through 40 pages to see if this was mentioned.

Im surprised it hasnt been posted by now. I was going to put it in a video but between work/gf havent had much free time to record over the weekend.

Sentinel can be combod into Weapon x prime in the corner after otg ankle slicer, without any assists etc. It’s an extra damage boost against a tank of a character, so its worth it.

Also, found 100%s on everyone from hit confirmed lmh > xfactor in level 2/3. I’ll be posting as soon as i get a chance. It kills sent with 0 meter.

So… How does anyone actually get out of the Dirt Nap trap?

By that I mean, you kill or snap back the character on point, activate dirt nap, and just tap S as they come in.

I feel bad using it, feels just so damn broken. What can people do to get out of it? I’m curious…

10 Stars:
Yeah the sent thing was posted in one of my combo videos posted earlier. Not only does Weapon X work on him but it also works on all other “BIG” characters like Hulk and She Hulk.

Hey all. I’m new to the vs. series and the speed is a bit overwhelming and i result to mashing out combos even if i know what combos I want due to the pressure. I was wondering if any one is will to do a tutoring session to help someone learn how to properly apply tactics in a low pressure environment and not have someone rush them down relentlessly.

edit:forgot to mention this is geared to me learning x-23 specifically

They just mash light and it hits x23 on their way in.

Say if they were in the corner though, and you dash in to cross them up as they tag in… won’t their jumping light just miss completely because you are on the other side?

Yup the super is pretty broken but doesn’t stop me from using it lol

Found an instant overhead set-up on crouching sent, also sent only combo.

I’m liking X-23 so far, but I’ve been having problems getting in with her.
Originally I thought you could cancel her horizontal dragon kick with her down C but thats apparently not the case.
So what good ways are there for her to get in against zoning teams?

Wave Dashing and using assists as covers

Also she has a wall jump, Im not too sure how to do it but Ive done it by accident a couple times

Wow, I’m mad I’ve never noticed that. It’s basically any normal wall jump input. :uf: off the wall.

Well I’ve found a way to combo into weapon X prime with an otg assist adding in a neck slicer, I personally use this so I can DHC into Magnetos Tempest, but overall it does more damage and is a lot better for DHC’s.

He wall jump can only be done from a normal jump, only when jumping up-back, or 7.

You can dash back and jump 7 to get some momentum install, then wall jump and clear a nice long distance. I use this for getting in when nothing else is working.
