MvC3: Claws and a Bra. X-23 Thread

Too close to ‘bred for killing’, and that’s taken >>

But then you miss out on the MC Hammer rep.

If X has non-gimmicky unblockable setups as an assist, then she’s definitely making it onto teams.

@Windsagio: It’s not taken, I made a search and the term “Bred for killing” does not appear on this site. Unless I’m missing the change can be made without any problems.

@KMD: MC Hammer rep ? Sorry, but my Internet jargon is a tad more outdated than I thought. Could you explain that wee bit if it’s not much of a bother ?

Now … how well do you think it would to to her the implementation of keep away tools (In the forms of explosives and firearms) taking into account what we saw so far ?

Wow, I stand corrected. How does the Canadian Murder Machine keep getting babysitting duty?

Because, he’s apparently good with kids (specifically young girls). I mean, notice how he’s always mentored every new young girl that’s come into the X-Men? First Kitty, then Jubilee and now Laura (and to an extent, her roommate Hisako/Armor). Although, X-23 # 1 had Storm doing a bit of mothering over X-23.

@d3v: The Storm bit was a pleasant surprise. Going by Liu’s interviews I felt that Jubilee was going to be the one mentoring Laura. Not that I’m complaining. With Black Panther cancelled, every bit of Storm is a helluva blessing.

O hey guys what’s going on here

I guess some small talk. Not much we can do without new footage nor quorum to discuss how her moveset will end up looking like.

Nice avatar by the way. I was thinking about using the same one, that’s the pic that should have been used to announce her confirmation IMO. Mike Choi and Sonia Oback rule. :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol, yeah, I know, I just think it odd that the most violent, ready-to-kill X-Man is the best teaching the young’uns.

HATE… her Level 3.

But I like her =w=~
In my head I keep thinking she’s Lady Deathstrike in a rebellious angsty phase when she was a child… with talons o-o~

So her being in pretty much means no Psylocke eh? Great.

What the fuck makes you think that? Though personally I’d rather never see Psylocke again, character is & has been boring as shit unless she’s in Excalibur with her brother Captain Britian, which writers seem to have forgotten.

Wrong book. That was the X-23 one-shot released last spring where they went to NY.

Speaking of which, didn’t X totally shred Deathstrike to bits last time they met? Also, hard to call her rebellious when she’ll perform any mission you ask her to to a T. This reminds me, I find her current voice acting so-and-so, not because of the VA (who I believe is Tara Strong), but I prefer the way she was characterized in X-Force and her later appearances in X-Men where she’s cold and stoic (except when Hellion’s around).

What was the title of said one shot?

And that fight was funny as hell. Lady Deathstrike thought she was the shit and had intimidated X-23 into just standing there while getting diced without resistance, until X revealed she was just watching. And shortly after that, she was done watching. And Logan just sat back with a proud “that’s my little girl” smirk.

I believe it was confusingly called just X-23.

Also, I find it interesting that Logan is pretty much okay with sending her to deal with people from his past. First Yuriko, then later on Daken in Seige.

Didn’t she want to try and kill Wolverine at one point?

Originally, she wanted to kill him and herself so that there would be no more of their kind and no more ways to make more of her. Also, when Claremont wrote her, he somehow got it in his head that she was made to kill Wolverine. Then again, Claremont’s run with her had alot of plot holes (he wrote it as if it was her and Logan’s first encounter even though they had already met previously). Only thing I liked about that run was that he made her become friends with Betsy, Kitty and Rachel.

P.S. Speaking of Betsy and Laura, they did their own version of a Fastball Special in Second Coming using Betsy’s telekinesis.

And she was doing a damn good job of it, too. She’s meticulous in her planning, circumventing Logan’s healing factor. Almost bled him to death with a combination of acrobatic pinpoint slashes on arteries…and packing regular dirt into the wounds. That’s all. I don’t know which version is more dangerous: chem-triggered or normal.

Chem triggered is good when dealing with lost of mooks, but yeah she’s a pretty meticulous and cunning killer without the trigger scent.

Nay, during the interviews before the one shot Marjorie Liu gave some bits of info on the ongoing. She teased Jubilee as one of the posibles characters who are supposed to form a bond with Laura during the new book despite his/her better judgement, going as far as saying “Yeah. Jubilee would be one hell of a mentor to Laura”.

And Psylocke is just a sloppy second, Spider-Man was the one who did the Fastball Special with her for the very first time. And she just can’t stand his banter, just like her"father" lol
