Yeah the Spidey/Laura fastball special was awesome. My favorite is still the Hisako/Logan version though. He wasn’t too happy about getting thrown by a little girl lol.
I like that X-23 made the cut. Definitely hot and a great choice from the new characters in the Marvel Universe. I don’t know if it rules out Daken or not, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him either. Maybe as an alt Wolverine.
Personally out of all the female characters they could have added I would love to see Domino, Emma Frost, or even the return of Storm in her current costume. I hated the all white 90’s costume. Black Widow will probably make the list due to her movie appearances.
I just reread that series, Wolverine’s heart obviously wasn’t in the fight. I don’t know if he really would have let her take him out or if he was letting her get her mad on, but I keep thinking this was back when he was pretty much immortal. I remember everyone from Bucky to Hulk flat out telling him “I know I can’t kill you, but I can slow you down.” Maybe he was banking on that fact with her.
I think that whole immortal Wolverine storyline, with him fighting the Angel of Death, was all because of the fight with Nitro. "Wait, Nitro blew up? Logan was nothing but a skeleton and fried brains? And he healed in minutes to take Nitro down? I’m sorry, Guggenhiem, what were you and Ramos on when you did that issue?
Damn, I missed this? Was it in a one-shot or X-Men ongoing?

I get the impression that while he probably could have taken her out (which he wasn’t going to do anyway since his intention was to meet her and recruit her to the Academy), her doing what she did (dirt, plus arteries) genuinely did impress Logan.
That said, the healing factor has been taken to ridiculous levels by some writers. Even Kyle and Yost got in the act when X lost her arm in one arc (burned it and gave the Adamantium claws to SHIELD Agent Morales to keep the Facility from getting her genetic material), yet in the next arc, it’s back Adamantium claws and all (although that could probably be due to Elixir’s deus ex machina healing ability).
The more I think about it, if given enough time Peter and Laura would be one helluva team.
And on the healing factor bit, it gets even more broken than that. When she gets sent to the future during X-Force’s she sustains horrible, horrible injuries while trying to cross a portal lethal to organic beings, and in the next issue, she just healed the wounds in a matter of minutes.
And yeah, More info and data before properly discussing X’s gameplay. We can get something going from the videos released today though …

Also, the most WTF thing about the healing factor is that somehow, it regenerates hair perfectly. Toss them through fire, explosion and flesh eating time travel membranes and they regrow their hair perfectly, heck event he deadliest woman in the galaxy (who has her own healing factor) had to spend a couple of issues in the sick bay and spent the remainder of the Guardians of the Galaxy series with short hair, unlike Logan and Laura who’are able to grow it back perfectly.
Maybe their healing factors are just plain better than Gamora’s in those particular instances, for what it’s worth. And now I wish for some Guardians of the Galaxy reps beyond Nova. Dammit.
Also, it’s good to see that people are little by little warming to the idea of X being part of the roster. Of course there are a few haters, but there is not much they can do at this point.

Talking about healing factors. I understand that Wolverine’s health bar replenishes faster than, say Ryu’s, when he’s not point. Does X share that trait as well ?
New footage makes me like her more, but shes just forgettable at this point. She looks unfinished like the first build of Super Skrull without the flame attacks and teleport.
And those little claws on her feet. lol. So cute. Im gonna love beating her face in.
Technically, in terms of speed, the healing factors would be ranked as:
Daken > X-23(at full effectivity) > Deadpool/Wolverine/X-23(when it fluctuates)
Daken’s is the fastest since his body doesn’t have to deal with any constant metallic toxins in his body (although having Muramas bonded claws for a time might have affected this, he already can’t regrow his wrist claws). X-23 only has to deal with a small amount of adamantium, however it was written somewhere that since she’s still an adolescent, her healing factor fluctuates (in other words, an for the writers to vary how much she heals depending on the plot). Logan and Wade both have things they actively have to deal with, Logan having to deal with a 100+ lb adamantium skeleton (body is healing both the toxic contamination from the adamantium and the muscles due to the strain of carrying them) and Wade has to deal with his cancer.
Wade’s cancer free? I thought the healing factor just kept it in remission, to the point that when his DNA was put into a bunch of Skrullpools, they overhealed and burst.
Didn’t she burn the arm? I had always assumed that Elixir had simply healed it back off panel.
