i don’t think they are using ups for free shipping orders. i believe it’s the postal service.
If your order still doesn’t show shipped, there’s no reason you can’t call Digital River and cancel the order. Every single e-commerce business operates the same way. They authorize your card when order is placed, charge card when order is shipped. If your order hasn’t shipped, then you haven’t been charged.
If you sign up for a free trial of prime, you can have it tomorrow for $3.99 shipping.
Yeah, it just seems that their policy is to tell you that you cannot cancel the order because it is “In Process”. As one of the many of us that have worked in E-Commerce, I know that shipping information is issued BEFORE the shipping company ever has the package, so this is just really shady shit going on here.
I honestly hope they ship mine. I would love a free Collector’s Edition.
This. The Target across the street from my house had 2 or 3 SE in stock. If it’s not here today I’m picking one up first thing tomorrow. I’m not waiting another 7-10 days for something to arrive because Capcom was afraid to break there own street date for customers that didn’t pay an extra $25 for next day shipping, and even then some of those people haven’t even had it ship yet.
This whole situation has been handled poorly and if they would have just included the shirt as a standard part of the CE I would have just given my business to a local retailer. I’m never going to buy through Capcom’s store again.
But you’re reading your “In Process” status from Capcom’s store, correct? That has nothing to do with USPS, and would be fairly up-to-date. Especially if you’re calling them and they tell you the same thing. I would ask to speak to a manager, make them think you’re a bitch-on-wheels and they’ll cancel.
BTW, don’t expect to get your shipment for free. If they’re going to screw something up, it’s not going to be them getting paid. Lol.

I walked into Best Buy this morning and picked up my SE copy for the PS3.

I pre-ordered my SE on 12/25, had debit card troubles 5 days before release, and mine’s on it’s way, moving from KY to MI at 6:45pm yesterday, hopefully it shows up sometime today or tomorrow.

I canceled my Digital Sewer Special Edition and my NewEgg standard edition order immediately after jumping on the Amazon offer!
I may not get my MvC3 Special Edition until next week (too frugal to pay for shipping).
However, at least I got the game below market value AND deprived Digital Sewer of a sale!

I just copped dat at Wally World. First copy out of the store, since they hadn’t even put them on the shelf yet. 3 PM on release day and I got the first one.
