That’s fine, I’d agree with the sentiment that XFactor is a good idea and that perhaps the exact specifics (i.e. how strong it is) might be off, though I am not going to make any claims on that until I can prove to myself that it is problematic (I think mechanisms should be considered balanced until proven broken, and I don’t see that proof yet).

But if you do agree that XF is not a bad idea, doesn’t that mean that you agree with the sentiment that we ought to counter slippery slopes?

On a separate issue, slippery slopes aren’t preferable, but that doesn’t mean every game with slippery slopes is bad. Analogously, I think leather interiors are preferable to cloth interiors in cars, but that doesn’t mean I think every car with a cloth interior is bad.

more iron man wish lists:

-remove Down heavy missile or change it into down forward Heavy or something…
-cancellable wavedash like magneto.
-make smartbombs ATK+Special and having a changeable trajectory: (in Air) Light+S for close, Medium+S for middle of the screen, and Heavy+S goes far, make the bombs bigger like mvc2 bombs so so it can be made into a good zoning tool.
-better launcher with more horizontal range.

This might have already been suggested, but I think it would be nice if Chun’s fwd.H would OTG ground bounce (similar to Deadpool’s Katana-rama), just to open up a few combo possibilities. Personally I’m fine with her combo-ability, her best combos do solid damage and build ridiculous amounts of meter, but it would make her less intimidating to players with low execution and obviously she wouldn’t need an OTG assist finish with a hyper.

Plus I guess I wouldn’t complain about a damage buff and reduced damage scaling on lightning legs.

Anyone else think a backwards air dash would be pretty cool too? Or would it just be unnecessary?

Im cool with Phoenix… the only things I want changed about her is her feathers doing chip in DP mode and to make the hitbox on her cr. L smaller…

For Wolverine, the only problem I see is that divekick… lower the hit stun… Make it -1 or -2 on block instead of having + frames. Im not saying to make it punishable, but that shit is way too good…

Dante is fine IMO. If we just have to nerf him, then I would lower his health a wee bit more… Just a little bit.

Wesker needs less health.

Sentinel needs 100K health and maybe more recovery for his s. S.

Taskmaster, Viper, Ammy, Zero, Hulk, Trish and Spencer is fine IMO.

The other characters I can’t really speak on, mostly because I don’t play with them… However I got some suggestions for Cap, Arthur and Shuma…

Make Cap’s lvl 3 invincible on start up OR up his damage a bit.

Arthur needs a faster walk speed and/or a longer ranged Lance Charge… I would also would like him to be able to cancel his air projectiles with jumps. I think his keepaway would be a tad bit stronger. And PLEASE make his knockdown after his gold armor depletes a soft knockdown. I hate getting anally raped with my asshole gaping when Im on the floor, helpless and with only my underwear on by more than half the cast of MVC3. That right there makes him less viable.

Oh and Shuma… Please up his damage… I hate using this LVL 3 and if that is the only way I can do a substantial amount of damage, Im definitely won’t be using him…

Oh and last thing make Jill’s mad beast a lvl 1 and 5 seconds…

I know you meant Sentinel needs 100k more health, but I can’t help but imagine how hilarious the reactions would be if Sentinel actually get nerfed to 100k health.

Jill is alot better than most people give her credit for being. She’s one of them silly complex characters that Marvel players tend to shun.

I would much rather have two assists than have to rely on xf3. Especially when opponents simply zone and run while u get desperate, make mistakes and get punished. I’m get in more trouble from xf1 cancels that guarantee the death of my character plus half of my second than one desperate xf3 character with no assists. Asside from chip damage (whitch they only have 5 meters at most, which can chip death one character at most) they have to do a one man rushdown with no assists to cover them, which means they can b punished easily. Does xf3 help noobs win? Yes. Does it allow for unlikely combacks? Yes. But if u know how to play mvc3 with using assists, dhc supers, crossover counters, mixups, using assists to create unblockables, even air tag combos, ect. A better player isn’t going to loose their nerve when their opponent whomever they have already dominated xf3, especially knowing that they don’t have access to 80 percent of the shit that u can do with your assists. They can leave xf the way it is for all I care, if I loose to xf3 and I have all my characters, I fucked up and deserved it.

I still think an easy way to tweak XFactor is to make all 3 levels last as long as Level 1, or even slightly less or slightly more.

It may be +8 on block but Wolverine’s not always at an advantage every time he dive kicks. Super jumped dive kicks are already free to throws if they land on top of you while blocking. If it was -2 on block, it would be punishable. Blocking normal jump ones on the ground would make it free to ground throws since he lands so close, and you wouldn’t need to chicken block it to punish with Ls if it hits too high.

Using xfactor on a dive kick is almost a perfect opportunity to kill Wolverine unless maybe they have tron/haggar assist.

I really think berserker slash is even worse.

Frame advantage on divekicks is variable. Wolverine’s divekick is already -1 or -2 on block if not spaced correctly, but it could stand to have a couple frames of blockstun shaved off to make it a little harder to harass people on the ground.

I vote that Sentinel and Wesker get a health swap.
Hecks, swap all their moves. I want Sentinel to teleport and pull out a gun, and Wesker to shoot mouth lasers and call wesker drones.
