Regarding the j.H after the Palm, when should you attempt to land it?

you have plenty of time and it’s a pretty liberal timing. But you should try to hit it as soon as you can, to give you height for the following demon flip.

you also want to delay j.H after launcher.

Damn, had no idea you could combo a j.:h: into a demon flip fireball.

i keep crossing up after cr.LMH > S > j.Hxx [PALM] > j.H am i doing something wrong or do you end on the opposite side also… it just kind of catches me of guard swithing sides

yeah. it works because hyakkishu starts up in one frame. however, online, it’s been inconsistent for me on certain characters. my online bnb for akuma is: cr.LMH > S > j.Hxxpalm > j.:qcf:+ L, (land), j.MMH xx L.tatsu (land) etc.

are you doing the light hyakkishu? make sure you cancel j.H into hyakkishu asap, then immediately press light attack.

you can actually see where you’ll land after the palm. just adjust to it.

i like doing cr.LMH > S> j,MMHxx[PALM} > j.H > LAND > j.MMHxx [Light Tatsu] > LAND > S > j.MHxx[Light Tatsu] > Super

I found the problem i was pressing the j.h too soon after the palm

For your online bnb, when do you do the air L fb? Like, right after the palm? Or almost landed like when you just do jH? And is the fb much easier than jH? I’ve been getting the jH fine in training but haven’t gotten to try it online yet.

No one does combos involving f + H online?

If one can get 800/900ish comparable dmg by just launching, why bother? -shrug-

Also, that whole thing where you end a bnb midscreen with air FB spread super, andthen you can link a ground beam super when you land… how does that work? I see people throw an airfb on the way down or something, I assume that’s needed to make it work. But yeah, how do you dothe 2 supers midscreen. Corner using sjS for flying screen is easy.

It doesn’t OTG, but I believe it does help you land faster. Though sometimes I throw out the fireball very late because I’m mashing like mad on the spread super and don’t get a chance to do the beam super. -___-’

I know the strat guide lists a midscreen combo with two supers and in between the spread and beam hypers, you can do air QCF + H. Can anyone else clarify on the midscreen 2-super combo?

i do the L fb as soon as i recover from the palm, which happens right before you land. for some reason, i find this much easier than the jH, and L fb does more damage than j.H anyway.

i don’t think it makes him land faster. i use it as a timing mechanism for when i should start the input for the ground hyper.and, although it doesn’t otg, it still hits the opponent that’s being juggled by the ground beam; more damage, more meter gain.

i do when i have them in the corner.

I use f.H to move forward and cancel into hadoken and light tatsu. But never in combos as such, really. It’s not worth it, linking cr.L after f.h -> light tatsu is awkward.

Usually, I would try hitting cr. L, st. H, f +H xx Tatsu L, cr. M, S into whatever. Try linking cr. M instead. That Nashdenate video above was an inspiration.

it’s not awkward at all for me. if you’re having trouble with it, you could always try mashing cr. L after tatsu, which eliminates trying to time it. the thing is, midscreen, you need to make sure you’re right up against the opponent at the start of the combo for it to work. so, lets say you connect with a cross up air light tatsu but land with even just a tiny bit of space between you two, you should dash before chaining into your next attack (usually a cr. L) to ensure forward + H won’t whiff. also, make sure to cancel forward + H immediately after it connects into light tatsu, followed by cr. L, S.

in the corner it’s definitely worth it, as he gains a jump loop that doesn’t involve using the palm, and more importantly, the ground bounce early on.

Not really worth it, I get one jump loop with air L.hadou after any aircombo into palm (and groundbounce).
