MvC3 Akuma Combo Thread

i actually use the chris g combo with the palm now as my main bnb, but if you still wanna try the midscreen or corner divekick OTG, my advice to you is to delay the air S as late as possible. (H demonflip for mid screen, L demonflip for corners)
OR for the lulz, you can do it normally, and do the demon flip dive kick after the air launch and watch as your opponent get hit OTG by your “flaming dive kick from the heavens”

since i’m on the topic of lulzy combos (might be a repost)
akuma is my anchor, so when faced with beefy characters i do this
Corner only (usually brings the opponent to corner from mid screen)

if i remember correctly it kills thor. you can sub in medium kicks only in the loop if you’re dealing with a smaller characters, in which case, you don’t need to do this

Does that only work on bigs though? I mean considering it does 1.2 ill prolly only go for it against bigs but Goddamn, thats one of those combos I find difficult to believe actually work cause its sooooo many hits. Thanks for sharing though, Im prolly never gonna bother with it since I’ve never been able to get down the fireball jump loop.

it works better on bigs, but for other characters you just sub in j.M instead of J.H to combo.

what are the optimal tatsu loops that i should be doing from a throw?

CRL-CrM-CrH-S-MMHS-Demon Flip M-CRM-CRH-S-MMHS-air hadou air hyper

or

his two hyper end variant with spread mid screen to beam on ground

or

corner spread hyper to S to air hadou to beam hyper

Is doing the Air demon flip the only way to begin the loops or can i do hit from the demon flip OTG as well?

Back throw, RDP+H~M, j.M, j.M, j.S, qcf+L, land, j.M, j.H, j.S, qcf+L, land, j.M, j.H, j.S, qcb+L, c.M, c.H, s.S, j.M, j.M, j.H, and then whatever ending youw ant

Buildsl ike 1.5 bars and works on just about everyone.
Only problem is that this combo next positions you properly for the midscreen spread into beam. You always end up to close to the corner. The corner hyper into S into beam works though

Optimal combo off of a ground chain? I do:

lmhs-mmhs-demon flip otg-crMHS-MMHS -air hadou-hyper or l go for the two hypers in one combo if i have the bar.

I do believe the demon flip combo is more optimal.

Here are the notations for it

c.L, c.M, c.H, s.S, delay (To prevent cross-up), j.M, j.M, j.H xx DP+L~L, j.H, land, jump forward, j.M, j.M, j.H, qcb+L, land, c.M, c.H, s.S, j.M, j.M, j.H, hyper or j.S into hyper.

With this one, you get the extra jump loop with the Tatsu (Which is Akuma’s strongest one hitting move, so it builds a good amount of meter).

if you’re going for damage that’s also pretty easy: c.LMHS, j.H xx demon flip L~L, qcf. L (land), j.MMH xx L tatsu (land) cr.MHS…and so on.
a little harder: c.LMHS, j.H xx demon flip L~L, j.H xx demon flip L~H (land) j.MMH xx L tatsu (land), cr.MHS…and so on.

you could also do the fireball loop combo, it does more damage but its a little harder to pull off (not impractical though, but definitely not a starter combo)
its from vanilla but still good.

combos that cancel st. :f: H into light tatsu instead of palm, do more damage.
the following combo gets you around 622,000 before you spend a bar: c.L, st.H, :f: H xx light tatsu, cr.M, S, j.H xx palm, air QCF. L (land) j.MH xx light tatsu, cr.MHS, j.MMH xx light tatsu xx fireball super.

off topic: i just saw a video that showed akuma’s raging demon do 37 hits. i don’t even know…

Not exactly sure where to put this, but found a great grab reset setup. It’s actually amazingly simple really. If you were to do a Tatsu L near the ground in the middle of a combo, replace it with one of the M or H Tatsus. Really nice because there isn’t a very noticeable tell since each Tatsu looks the same. Right now, I do cL cM cH S jM jM jH RDP+L Palm, jH jM jM jH Tatsu M jump up grab. H should work just as fine, it does even less hitstun than M so be warned. More effective in the corner, but midscreen works OK
