Viper is low tier, same with Wesker and Phoenix. 3 worst characters in the game.

Ok ok, i still think Viper is currently low tier man. We will see with time, you may be right after all. But at Evo, i dont think Daigo or Tokido for example (that WILL BE tier whoring hardcore) will pick her. More like Wolv/ Sent / Akuma or Wesker / Task / Phoenix, or stupid powerful combo like that. I’m quite positive about that.
If by experimenting you make C.Viper do wonder, then great. Now if you make Hsien Ko and Modok work, even better aha.

I dunno about a 10-0 matchup as I’m sure there are other characters who also have some silly undiscovered tech, but the way Viper’s movelist functions lends itself to potentially retarded stuff. If you can’t see this then :nono:.
If JWong and Combofiend didn’t showcase Wolvie and Shulk Day 1 on high profile streams, I don’t think those characters would nearly be as common as they are now, despite how braindead easy they are. Obscure characters with high execution barriers are just discouraging in this game because of how EZ mode getting damage is, but give it time and we’ll see new characters closer to their full potential.
Daigo and Tokido aren’t the types of players that go for execution types like C.Viper. It’s kinda interesting that he even went for Yun in SFIV but I guess that just shows he sees the potential in a character where if you know one frame links and dive real good you’re on top.
When Daigo played Guilty Gear he could have easily went to Eddie and beasted even harder than he did with Sol. It’s just Eddie is not a Daigo type of character. He prefers more fundamental safer characters.

same reason why daigo is gonna get bodied in mvc3. he can ume shoryu with sol fagguy, but last time i checked, frying pan > shoryuken in mvc3.
I was joking as Viper is Chrisis’ trademark. But I play(ed) high execution characters too and lost tournament matches due to dropped combos. I’m tier whoring now and getting better results for a fraction of the effort.
I think Magneto is stupid but he’s also stupid good. His flowchart of random hit into loop into corner hyper grav DHC glitch is one of the strongest flowcharts in the game.

I just like playing whoever I like, regardless of tier. Its more about fun for me, winning is the (big) plus 
Tasty, after playing my Zero team you know that even if it’s hidden when I design something and say it has stupid shit, it has a lot of stupid shit. 
If I wanted to win more in the now I would play Magneto and invest some time into him, if I want to win more in the 4 months from now I need to keep investing time into Viper as she blows him up along with most other good characters in the game. It’s just Viper’s tools are better it’s just also obvious that dropping them is also much easier until they’re gotten down.
Fun fact: Viper’s combos that can kill a character are easier to execute than her actual mix up and tools for opening people up. >.<
I view her similar to Marvel 2 Sentinel, a lot of the main weaknesses she had reduce dramatically or disappear completely the more time that’s invested into her. However unlike Sentinel at the bottom level she doesn’t have a use whereas in early Marvel it immediately became obvious that he could tank damage like a bizzle.
You are right to some extent. Play whoever you like, till you want to win. And the problem is, some characters have better tools to win. That’s BRAINDEAD (i know you like this expression now) but everybody wants to win.

I posted before and the results of things trended closer to what I posted after the fact aside from Wolverine Whom was the main area I was wrong on. I’m basing them on what the character can feasibly do, or is doing.
depends on the shoryu I guess but akuma’s shoryu blows up frying pan so hard. only problem it only does about 300k on hit, if you got the height right and burn a bar… and if you got the height wrong and your super whiffs…
Well all Im trying to say is if you put Tron in the last spot of your team is its hella hard to win with her.

Haha, I was saying normal shoryus, not Akumas hyper combo or ryus shin shoryu. Obv those will rape frying pan
akuma’s H shoryu has 15 frames of invincibility, and if you cancel it into his super you can make it safe on block (fireball super) or a relatively damaging combo (beam super). not well known… but its pretty cool. even if you whiff the shoryu you can generally make it safe.
You are totally right about that much. It would definitely be a gimmick. If you could get the damage high enough though it’d turn into an execution whores way of bodying outside of the DHC trick or other easier more damaging combos (Wesker <.<).
What’s funny is the top tier characters for the game are already pretty much set in stone. But people are still playing it like it’s not.

The ceiling for everyone that is mvc2 hasn’t been tapped or touched yet IMO, outside of wesker…he doesn’t have much room if any to grow but he doesn’t need it.
Viper I feel like is S tier or will be if this game lasted years and didn’t get a update.
She unreliable but she can do it, just like CapCom, Psylocke, and Cyclops could.
