MvC2 Xbox 360/PS3 bug database & reporting thread

The game froze on me within the first 2 minutes of putting it on. I went to check the scoreboards and it froze. It kept saying “Refresh” and that was it. Had to hard reset my PS3 by holding down the power button until it shut off.

Likewise, the game froze a second time when I went to do a quick match (I forget if it was ranked for friendly). Again, it froze on the “Refreshing” screen and I had to do a hard reset.

Finally I managed to play someone online when I got an invite from a friend. After about 20 seconds the game glitched (I killed my opponent’s first character, but no second character jumped in) and then froze. This required another hard reset.

Three lockups in 45 minutes (before I got my invite, I played against the CPU) is pretty fucking terrible. >:|

However, after my third reset, I went back and created my own matches for ranked and got through 3 matches without any problems.

Apparently if you search and have no voice chat selected, it wont freeze

IMO, I think its easier to do combo’s on the 360. Like magneto’s infinite for example. It seems I’m 3x better @ roming on the 360 than I am on the DC. Its like the game is allowing me more time to do inputs.

You need two xbox live accounts to face each other (human vs human) in arcade/training?

If so that is sooooo stupid!

PS3: freezing (hard reset) while searching for custom player matches.

My PS3 froze when trying to go to “Custom Rooms” during the “Refreshing” phase…I KNEW there would be problems with the PS3 version…

xbox version seems more fluid then PS3…i hope they fix this shit soon. cause PS3, in my opinion, was a tad bit of a let down. they did a piss poor job on releasing this version…

I posted in another thread but I noticed some weird ps3 glitches

characters changing to orange if you get hit by certain explosive type moves such as jin’s hp? i think it is or sometimes with bb hood’s missiles. You stay orange until you get hit? or super? I had magneto orange for like 10 secs before i did tempest.

storms lightning attack went over a ducking storm twice and over IM once. Usually they can’t duck under but a few times this happened.

Purchased the PS3 version. It already has froze a few times…figures. Fuck you, whoever programmed this.

Wow, so the first post in here for the PS3 version involved an A1 glitch. Maybe it is a bug after all.

Yeah, usually that type of bug is an automatic fail on Sony’s checklist. Capcom must have had some pretty convincing arguments.

The dev blog says that the game is fine when played in a room filled with a bevy of night-walkers and 8 balls.

The first part is rollback - you were getting hit and thus were shaded for that hit, and then it rolled back and you weren’t hit - but it doesn’t reset the special shading state. Already mentioned in the first post.

I thought you could duck under it?
