DHC to proton cannon is probably still gonna = murder. sigh it looks like Capcom may have killed Marvel. It really takes my passion away that it’s such a flawed version. The patch doesn’t sound real exciting either.
Care to elaborate on this?
if someone does tempst xx proton cannon or any super cancelled into Proton Cannon it has the same properties as the AHVB. Good luck trying to block it.
it’s normally unblockable…in those situations. also, it’s probably moreso because you’re playing with online lag than an actual glitch like with the AHVB.
Nah you can block it while walking forward or if just standing there. Jumping can be iffy but definitaely not walking or just standing there. If i’m just standing there and block after the freeze i can block it. Could be online lag possibly. I don’t have a way to test it out offline at the moment though.
yes test offline.
but timed DHCs to proton cannons ARE unblockable (as I do them to people on DC)
also, I had no idea what you were talking about with walking/standing/jumping. you need to elaborate what situation you’re talking about
i think he means while he is walking forward or jumping, if the opponent DHCs to proton, he can usually block on the freeze frame of dhc. In xbl, he can’t.
which i probably call BS because i know if you DHC to proton and they dashing at you while the DHC, you can NOT block on reaction (if the DHC is timed right). But I believe if I am not mistaken, it has to do with spacing issue as well. If you are full screen away, you can block.
Proton canon is 3 different frames to reach full screen, it goes 1/3 1/3 1/3. If you are within the first 1/3 of the screen near opponent, you can’t block.
yea…I don’t know about the screen length thing. I’m pretty sure if you time it right, it doesn’t matter where you are
but yeah, I’ve unblockabled dashing, walking, jumping, and standing people on DC.
Another video of glitchy xbox live play.

Spiderman spinning the whole match.
Sorry about the wierd camera angles, but I play on a projector, so I was trying to stay back and not block the whole screen.
^-- looks like the sprite loading glitch. Online play or offline play?
It was online - he didn’t move/attack, and wasn’t hittable, so I don’t know if he disconnected or if he was watching me push him around.
It seems like aspects of the old Capcom MvC2 code are nasty and in some cases reuse variables and other sorts of coding badness, which is why you get bogus sprites, which then crashes the game for one of you…
… soooo in short I think that’s a one-off non-reproducible crash.
I would pay money to anyone who CAN reproduce the sprite loading glitch at will. Seriously. Right now I don’t know how Capcom can fix it if they can’t reproduce it. =\
AHVB fix looks pretty good. Frame buffer isn’t noticeable in online play at all, though the verdict is still out insofar as what (if any) undesirable effects this fix has.
I’m glad to see they fixed the fight screen between Abyss’s first and second form (not!).
On the 360 version, whenever I fight Abyss, before the fight starts on the second form, it always looks like my system is about to crash before the screen rights itself.
It’s very annoying and I have no idea how it passed their inspection before release. I was hoping they would fix this, but I guess not.
I’m sure many of you don’t care because this game is “supposed to be played between people”, but I still enjoy the arcade side of fighters once in awhile.
Are people still getting the “Press A to Continue” lock-up screen?
edit: evidently yes
weak moves still messed up… chun-li’s Shom still broken T___T
TMK the timing is slightly slower but it should work fine. “somebody” here may recall the specifics.
I cant seem to do magnetos rainbow combo on xbox, he either drops the character or the moves come out too slow to connect
magnetos rom still does the double lk sometimes… its cool though, can’t expect perfect
Sadly, yes. (PSN) At least “Leaving game” bug is fixed, so I don’t prematurely leave a game that’s just taking too long to load. Or at least it seems to be so far.
