I’m soooooo happy to see someone else throw tournaments in the ATL besides me. I will support this event if I don’t have to work. I’ll be playing cvs2 and 3s. Yea I said CvS2 damnit! Got to take my crown back. It’s been 3-4 years since i’ve played cvs2 seriously.
I have a few words of advise for you sir.
1st.= You need to list all of the games that will be played for the tournament in the 1st post. Editing the 1st post in your tournament thread is very important, because most people don’t read the entire thread. They read the 1st post and the last page. Trust me when I tell you this sir. Hell some people don’t even read the 1st post.:wasted: :annoy:
, but they always come in the thread and ask you questions that were answered on the 1st post.:annoy:
:annoy:
2nd.= Start times for each game. Most tournament run a little bit late, but try to keep on time for the most part.
3rd.= Post the rules for each tournament. Don’t assume everyone that will attend your tournament will know the standard rules for each game. Hopefully you will draw a new players to the scene in the ATL. If that happens they need to play the way everyone plays so they will be ready to compete in the Major tournament’s. FinalRound, EVO, T8, ect…ect… are all tournaments the new players should strive to compete in at a high level.
Good luck with this tournament and future tournaments. I will try to support you guy’s the best way I can.:china:
Sorry if I misunderstood your first point, but they’re only hosting one game per tourney (I’m guessing they’re doing rotation on a weekly basis), and this tourney is ONLY marvel. And, as it’s only Marvel, the only start time is the 1:00 pm one listed. (I’m sure Zach (the OP) appreciates your input though, as your FR event is a huge success every year)
As for the 3rd point, I agree completely, because the last one that I went to has some quirks, like winners changing teams, and some talk of the Gambit glitch, which would’ve caused some upset.
Oh and, Zach, I think it’d be helpful to anyone who read this thread if you stated the match-format for the tourney, since last time, we had some problems (Example: 2/3 for regulars, 3/5 for winners finals, losers finals, and loser’s semi’s, and 4/7 for grand finals?).
And, let’s not pit somebody from winners against someone from losers again, except when it’s grand-finals time
If you need rules just goto any major tournament and copy/paste the rules. But you need to understand the rules also. If MvC2 is the only tournament game that day I won’t enter, but I still may come to for support.
bumped just cuz its near that time
Dude u might be the next best thing in mavel!!! Max talks about bananas 2, but i still like EJ and Zug Zug [they are some beast]

Three more days! Some of my casual friends (one particular one who went to some SC3 mini-tourney somewhere) say that they’ve been telling some of their Marvel friends about this tourney, so some more people are coming.
I hope the ONE marvel cab there doesn’t get overworked:sweat:. It’ll be loads of fun, as long as we dont have any problems  . Too bad I suck at Marvel :looney:
First post, woohoo.
Hey everyone, its about time I’ve seen something like this in the area! I won’t be able to make 4/22, but I’ll definitley be around there soon. I’m really excited… I play 3S, and used to play CvsSNK2 casually at the local Jillians. Although I think I’m good at 3S, I know in my heart I’m still Scrub material, because I only play against the computer and one of my friends, and I use the ps2 controller. I’m saving up for a custom stick, though! I hope to hear from some people in the area to discuss 3s.
I’m going to try and make this.
Max i’ll holla at you and joe saturday.

Can someone give me an address so I can find this place.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to make the tourney, as it was my birthday weekend, but I look forward to coming up there soon. Is there anything going down this weekend? Casuals or something?
Im in the area so ill come by for 3s and GG
If anything goes as usually planned, I’ll be up there Friday evening. Split between Friday nights, Sunday nights, and then the random days, you’ll usually be able to find a diverse competition in just about… whatever :wgrin:

Good tournament overall. It was nice to play against some new peeps in casual play. When is the next tournament for 3S? or cvs2 so I can enter. I like the location but some of the joysticks feels worn down. You don’t want your attendance to suffer due to people thinking the joysticks aren’t in tip top shape. You should look into putting new "Happ ultimate comp 8 way joysticks" with the hard spring. Get the Covex buttons for fighting games and new cheery switches for all of the buttons. The buttons they have now are concave. I don’t mind them, but they do cause blisters during play. This may effect someones proformance if they hurt their hand during the tournament. Most if not all competitive arcade fighting game tournaments use those type of buttons on their machines. I look forward to the next event you guy’s have.
I agree with shinblanka pretty much on the sticks. CvS2 sticks felt like Campell’s Chunky soup or Jello pudding or something. :annoy: lol In 3S I don’t know what it is but on 1P side at least supers didn’t come out at times. But overall nice tournament and good to see some old and new faces.
Thanks, I really appreciate it.
