i usually dont start my IM… i use him as an assist for my sent!!damaging combos! :smiley:

SJJ v cable?? and throw out SB?? he can ahvb you cant he? even if you dash!!??

but IM/doom- well you wana get and stay close to your opp with ???/doom because of hella chip damage…but just do alot of c.lk,+doom,c.lk! if they block chip damage and you might be able to cross them up; or it it hits them you get a free PC or inf(c.lk+doom,c.lk,s.hp PC)and if you call doom out full screen on acadent do a ho uin beam and then sj out of there!!

what are some good teams with im??

im using IM/sent/cable… (and im learing mags)mags/sent/IM

always put IM/sent on the same team i think they work great together(better than most duo O’s)

@_@ IM doom works for lockdown, which adds to his slow rushdown. Also, it’s pretty good at setting up bullshit infinites(random infintes). It makes his runaway effective because whenever I say SJ smart bomb, I mean call doom THEN sj smart bomb, that way you get some chip out of it. Also, you get good DHCs, PA xx PC is dirty damage. Like 80%. Also, according to Julius, IM/Doom play the same, in the fact they both flight around and throw shit at you and chip.

Blindside: Cable CAN’T reach IM at the top of the screen, which is why I suggest staying up there as long as you can.

I also advise against sweeping+doom because if they roll, doom dies vs cable/storm/sent whoeva. but c. lk c. mp+doom is they block your jump in or whatever is good because you have time to cross up or cover doom. Just don’t sweep with IM+assist :wink:

Strider/im/doom

non doom im teams
cyke/im/sim aaa
IM/sent/mag
storm/sent/im
Strider/im/cable OR sent(if strider doesn’t need doom, he needs IM)

btw…I like doom, or at least, doom with IM. :wink: I think it’s the best assist in the game, and he’s pretty much the staple character on my team. Even if IM isn’t on my team, doom is. For an assist granted, but I can use doom pretty well on point too.

i was preaty sure that they couldnt rool out of c.lk+doom,c.lk dooms rock keep them knee level :D…works with storm too.

edit: As for my fucked up teams, the ones that don’t have doom are japanese. lol :smiley: :cool: They can still be quite effective though.

if you got the game by u go try it out!! no one has ever rolled out of it WITH DOOM.

and the jap teams are weird!! s/im/Or?? to fucked up

ack you left out mag/IM/PSY, mag/IM/cyc., mag/IM/cable. Heh, those are some more good teams with IM.

Yes you can roll out of it, the computer rolls out of it everytime, as for peeps rolling out of it, just like chun-li’s pimp said you just gotta be quick about it.

so how do you set up infinite using Doom-AAA? the only one i know is the sweep-OTG setup

launch + call doom AAA, air chain, end with d.FP, land, infinite…

I’ve done it many times, but the timing is weird.

Quick question on sj. canceling a c.mp
After u finish the c.mp, u have to put it back to neutral then press down, up…right?

yes! but right when you hit c.mp(2x)be4 it hits them you should already be doing the N,D,U motion!! really fast

IM can’t set up off of Doom like psy, if that’s what you’re asking. He just helps IM close and land that one fatal hit better than any other assist IMO.

I think Iron Man works best with a good Throw assist it really helps him rush people like Cable who like to turtle you.

He’s also good with a Projectile assist like Doom(aaa), Tron, Sent, Storm. Something that can hold them wile you tri-jump.

But I really hate using AAA’s on my Iron Man teams cuz he really doesnt need it.

Oh ya lately I have been using Iron Mans Launcher Assist instead of AAA because every time I use the AAA defensively it get snuffed any tips for using it for D?

Yea that’s a good point. Rouge throw type CAN help alot vs cable turtles. :slight_smile: BTW I love your AV.

o_O if you’re having problems using it, which you shouldn’t be, you can always switch to projectile, for chip and lockdown. Launcher type could theoretically alphacounter yourself into an infinte, althought I’ve never seen or heard of it being done. =\

Rogue Throw assist is also good for reseting the Infinite. BTW since a the throw doesnt actually combo you can keep using the assist in the same combo.(if that makes sense)

I am having trouble using the AAA probably cause I’m calling it at the wrong times, I should call it after they use there assist Tron style.

For IM AAA, it depends alot on the match up. You can’t really use it like commando aaa, you gotta use it like commando on point. As soon as you THINK they’ll come at you(for rushdown or offense) throw that out. Other then that, save it for combos. :wink:

alright i gota say something.
i was playing IM and killed a char. after that i did the jap GB against cable and he escaped it. i mean they were doing it constantly. this hurt my game nasty status with IM. so does n e one have other dope GB that DO WORK!
and how does that mid-screen GB work?

You’re probably not doing it right then. The whole purpose of the INESCAPABLE guard break is that they CAN’T do anything no matter what happens, they push block, they still get hit, and IM’s jab will probably beat out whatever attack you try to do. Practice more, if you can do the c.Strong infinite setup, you can do the guard break.
