MvC2: East Coast vs. West Coast 5 on 5

Marvel is still fun and even though it continues to be unbalanced it is still lovable. I enjoy playing it a lot and Fanatiq go to FFA soon because i want to play you more. When Marvel 3 comes out in the future will it top mvc 2 is the real question!! haha

I’m sure everyone would love a 3rd Marvel but it probably won’t happen.

Why do people keep writing and writing about a game they dont give a fuck about?

Marvel is just that godlike.

I love certain people on the WC team at SB3, but it seemed like some of them had other priorities. I bet if you watched videos of some of those people playing you would be sitting there shaking your hands in your air yelling FINISH THE COMBO.

People need to shake off the rust before they step up. I think having their own money on the line would help more too.

If I wanted to throw a thing like this, I would establish regions where everybody can pick their top 3-5. Challenge into those spots for $50 vs spot money match before Evo, and then at Evo have those ~15 people play round robin or whatnot to establish the current top 5 as opposed to riding off the coattails of glory.

I’ll never in my dreams be … Top 32 even, but it’s a helluva fun game to watch. It’s fireworks on screen most matches.

Yea, a lot of top players have stopped and when they started again they were messing up ROMs and shit and Marvel really punishes you for not having perfect execution. The level of skill in Marvel is so high that if you sleep on players you end up getting beat. Still though, even if you’re rusty, by playing, you’re supporting the scene. Also, yea, like Dark Prince said, this shit shouldn’t be a popularity contest. Best of the best all the way!

wc vs ec was really only OFFICIALLY PROPERLY been done once which was when it was a big screen event at evo in 03 i believe…

sb3 wc vs ec counts since it happened and ec raped us. but like erik said we dont care unless its on the big screen. yipes wasnt a part of it which especially made me not care even more. hangover didnt help either haha. row was actually tippin during the 5 on 5 if i remember correctly. and big J was using clock’s team!!? but the shit was kinda fun tho.

Everytime I’ve been to EVO (2006 & 2008), the Marvel 5on5 events or the Marvel money matches on stage tops every other event at EVO. And I don’t even play Marvel!

and again 100% truth…I love how people “hate marvel” so much that they have to follow behind any post that has any hint of hype for marvel with “this game sucks and is dead” or something of the like…when you people see how bad sf4 sucks you’ll be right back at mvc2…so don’t be fools realize this in advance and keep your game up. Cuz contrary to popular opinion, once you lose your game it doesn’t come back to you exactly the way it was, iit takes lots of work and sometimes you never get back to you 100% best.

Well Since Last week Friday I beat Baby Wolverine 10/1 for 100.00 I think I wanna do this teams thing but only way its gonna happen if your players from west coast stop bitching about who is gonna play on the team. If we did do it the team for Ec would be This Justin, Sanford, Yipes, Me, and Desmond. So if u guys are serious lets see if we can get this popping cause right now we Both 1/1 on the 5 on 5.Lets see who’s the best coast before marvel get’s deaded from Evo.

Mike has spoken the truth. Fantiq, we did the official 5v5 ec vs wc at seasons beatings 3. WC had their 5 against our 5, and we won. We settled it and that was set to be the last 5v5. No1 here on the EC plays mvc2 anymore like that and I’m not just saying that because you can ask around if you’d like. We all play sf4 and other games, mainly sf4. Besides arthur really… Last time I played I was trying to focus attack with sentinel and grab with lp+lk. DONE… Same thing happened with justin too when he played lol.

We all suck in mvc2 now.

This is a good event as always to have. Its pointless to come in here and try to down the 5 on 5 for those who want to play it through. I myself rarely touch marvel but It will never die. And I guarantee that if I start practicing now I will remind everyone how dangerous I really am. I feel I should be on this since I am one of the few who still even looks at the game, but I would love to watch this go down as well. The ec don’t touch the game but we still killas. This shit will still be hype on the big screen as it always is. I agree with fanatiq on this.

I honestly believe EVO07 was the year to run this back. Ohio was probably the last time we will see all those killas in one place again and that is unfortunate but since the WC has so many names it will all depend on the EC showing this year. However the SW also has an opportunity to redeem themselves after last years MM results.
