yeah, only unblocable can really stop lagheart! but I don’t like to do that :P. lagheart is mostly a problem for mags and maybe sent too.
My Sent has a hard time against Lagheart thats why I put Cable in against him. Im short if Cable switches against my Cable
i wasnt gonna say nothing myself, but i agree, bh online is so fucking randomly dumb, and half ass players get away with garbage with him.
easy damage combos ftw that lag doesn’t affect. oh yeah, you also can’t guard cancel out of infernoxxhod anymore either (you’ll just get comboed into it)! yay, spam it even more you guys! demons + screen teleportations + roll backs + jesus tails + holding up back is godlike. take captain commandos extra speed because of online, and extra unblock-ability because of rollbacks + random screen shifts into account too (or other AAAs). yeah, I understand ppl who ragequit against shit like that entirely.
mags gotta work extra hard to beat a BH he’s most likely better than 
hopefully he doesn’t die, otherwise it’s whoever is left over against, most likely, sent/cap which is just as bad as lagheart online for different reasons.
id rather not have to resort to using cable every game, because you can easily exploit input delay with him. but why the fuck should i have to deal with input delay + lag + demons and capcom all over my screen. and are the people so ignorant to the fact that this is a scrub online tactic? it boggles my mind. if you think its easier to rom and reset to kill a character than to just run away spamming demons and calling capcom, then do it please. id rather get perfected every game than to just frustrate myself trying to find 1 opening just to hit blackheart, and then have to execute perfectly or im back to square one.
plus knowing full well how hard it is to get out of the corner without getting hit by something, they can randomly throw out their AAA move, i dont know what its called, for a free super.

Plus antiair attacks are slightly beefed up due to lag delay. I get hit by antiair for free online, versus very very rarely live/in person.
95% of the Blackhearts are garbage anyways. The question is whether you’re losing to their skill or your lack of skill in handling online tactics. It’s way more fun playing against them then it is playing against the game.

Ive been using Sent/ BH / Cable since 2004. Im not a scrub ;_;.
Besides, Marvel online is just not the same as offline play so its kind of pointless to complain about the obvious.
Pick cable? eat unblockable AHVB.
Pick magnus? Teleport everywhere.
Pick Blackheart? Use ice shields and assists to keep rushdown characters out.
Pick venom? Spam doom assist and lock people down due to lag with venom fang. ( sounds retarded but lag does wonders in the online world ).
But yeah. Just be grateful Marvel has been sped up for XBLA and PSN. Can you imagine how much harder it would be if the game still had arcade/dreamcast slowdown speeds? During sent drones/Blackheart assist the games speed slows down to a crawl. Add online lag and you wont ever get out of it.
we’re not saying all BH players are scrubs. but a lot of the online ones are. and also that lagheart/lagthrax is really retarded online.
and yeah, that’s just online marvel for you though. since that’s the case, no one should complain about some people RQing if they explained why like this.

hell, I was losing to the stupidest online shit before. guile priority plus ken hurricane kick assist into super to DHC or into IM infinite. constant lag and rollbacks (I threw him, oh wait, no I didn’t, oh wait, now I’m in the infinite…) stuff I know I wouldn’t lose to offline. this player is seemingly all online tactics. (can’t do IM combos into inf, only crossups. air dash back and forth with ambigous assists, jank “trap” that is buff online, constant random tagins…) and so I just told the guy them are some online gimmicks and if he’s goin’ to Seasons Beatings

There’s no excuse for ragequitting when you know there’s a good chance the other player’s system will freeze. It’s just a dick move. Blaming it on lagheart is also pretty retarded, since there’s tons of abusable crap online, not just BH.
Once the freeze bug gets fixed, I won’t give two shits about quitters.
we have already mentioned that yes, we can easily pick cable since lagheart doesn’t even let mags abuse start. but we aren’t the type to counter pick or change teams because of a loss (well, at least I’m not).
I don’t know about all the system freezing though. also, I don’t think there’s a good chance. perhaps it’s just your system as I get RQ on a lot and no problem.

It is alot of lagheart Scrubs online, funny thing is alot of the lagheart scrubs I play complain about the dirty tactics I use with Megaman. In the corner against Lagheart/Lagthrax there is little you can do even with a half way decent anti-air.
Lagheart’s HOD has stupid properties online for some strange reason, that I can’t even explain. But Megaman has problems with Lagheart even in the arcades.
But lag tactics in general pisses people off anyway, you just get use to it, I just hate the fact that when I hit a Sent. or any other character with my commando assist he/she gets the power back from the attack because the game just lagged.
Hell I had a match earlier when a guy ran out time with Sent. because he had like three pixels left I CONNECTED with KBA with 3 seconds left I connected with all the hits minus the slam at the end, the game lags and I lose because I had a pixel less than what he had.

Can somebody explain this teleporting stuff? I’ve fallen prey to a couple of Magneto teams where it seemed like he was all over the place. It seemed kinda like lag, but like only I was lagging. Yesterday I also saw it with teams other than Magneto. Is this some form of cheating? How is it done?
I don’t know the specifics of how the netcode works for this game… but since you can locally host online games, it would probably be easy enough to route your connection through your computer so that your connection to all of the game server data is fine, but private IPs are obstructed in some way. The same way people do it for Gears/Halo.
It’s pretty silly. I’ve run into something like that in ranked, where the guy waited until he he was about to lose and then the screen would freeze up for a couple seconds while he set up his hypers. I don’t remember the name.

everyone teleports when its lagging bad, but no matter how good the connection is, marvel online cannot keep up with mags speed, or storm, or even iron man. those characters and a few more will always teleport a bit. preppy probably knows more technical details behind it, but it cannot be prevented. even on the best connection you will be playing mags, and he will dash, super jump cancel to over head or something, but its like he just teleported on your head. you have zero time to react.
don’t forget sentinel. that big robot is fast. especially flying…
