Sf4 just came out at the right time. The updates don’t mean shit. Each one sold less than Vanilla. SF4 came out after years of nothing.

Marvel didn’t sell 800k. Vanilla sold 2.2 million and Ultimate sold 1.2 million. Neither is mindblowing, but considering they released Ultimate months later, they still managed to make Capcom’s Platinum list.

Vanilla shipped 2.2mill and and Ultimate shipped 1.2 mill.
This is not the same as sold units, which were way lower than that.
Vanilla got hard on their momentum once Ultimate was announced, and by the time Ultimate was released a lot of people were not happy.

At the end of the day, shipped means sold to Capcom.

It really doesn’t, because shipped units that aren’t sold incur into costs for them since they have to pay the insurance to the major retailers they provide to.

I just remembered someone posted a rumor (maybe on NeoGaf?) about Akuma being in DOA. Every one assumed the person had confused DOA with Tekken but now MvC4 is rumored to be developed by Team Ninja. We know Akuma will be playable in some game on saturday. Everyone assumed it would be SFV, but what if its DOA5? We already have Mai from KOF and Akira, Jacky, Pai Chan, and Sarah from VF.

I was right about 8 SF2 characters, 4 Alpha characters and 4 new characters launching SFV. I was also right about SFV getting 5,000 people at Evo and surviving the casual crisis. I’ll be right about this.

Also, Carol’s new costume is far better and Practical than her old one. She’s also going to be Captain Marvel in the films, so if she’s in the game, she’ll be Captain Marvel here too.

Marvel doesn’t give a crap about practicality in their comics, and neither should the audience. Vision and Thor fight godlike beings with capes on.
