Im okay with that roster. What people forget about 90s roster is that it was pushing its most popular franchise. Which is why we got cota instead of an avengers fighting game. Infinity wars also came out some years after the books its based on.
Mvc3 pushed a roster which was getting popular. That is perfect because when MvC3 came out, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the movies were going strong. Kids getting to play the characters they know is good for us in the scene since it bridges a gap with the next gen of possible fg players. As long as the cast for the next marvel game follows that strat, we’ll be in good hands.
Honestly, it’s all about the move sets for the most part.
I never was one to think I’d be a huge Felicia fan, but that Rolling Buckler is one of the reasons I fell in love with the character. I never played any MegaMan games, but in original Marvel 3, I instantly fell in love with Tron because of her Gustav Fire and Jump Heavy.
As long as the developers give us some fun characters that are fresh and unique, I’m sure we will all be happy.
Some of the Xmen characters have become Iconic as fighting game characters separate from the movies.
No one cares what the fuck Magneto is doing in Xmen Days of future past, we do care about him being able to do crazy combos, resets, and having a good neutral though.

Uh, may not be 100% correct Polygon did say Ant Man and Groot were in the game but good start and pretty positive Captain Marvel will make it in the game.
Calling it now. Characters in MVC3 that wont be in MVC4 as full characters will be in as the assists. Capcom loves to recycle.
Capcom side wont change much imo. Maybe 10 new characters. Ie. Characters that werent in UMC3 not necessarily brand new ones. Eg Captain Commando.
Marvel side will get massive overhaul due to xmen issue and Marvels stupidity. Roster might actually be very small as capcom doesnt really want to make nearly 25 new characters for Marvel alone.
Im more of a DC fan than Marvel so would prefer Capcom all stars or even a DC vs Capcom. Hoping for superman rip off Sentry tho.

Why are people acting like this is an official list? Capcom does get some say in who gets in and they’d put in more veteran characters than this.
The fact there is no Luke Cage means the list is 100% wrong.
Marvel/Disney will be wanting to shill the MCU 100%
Everyone in/or getting into the MCU will be in the game. The rest will just be popular characters like Shitpool(Gwen), And both Marvels.
She-Hulk is 50/50 though. She’s not really that big, and in terms of Thor? We might end up with a Bone Claw/Adamantium Claw Wolverine thing.
