Ok, so you think that Capcom is going to give us 3 character reveals a month until release after Evo when we are being spoonfed the SFV DLC content every 30 days like the FGC is a well trained dog?
Give them waaaaaaay too much credit here. Timelines and Capcom are a running joke at this point.
Iâm still under the hope that we can count on MARVEL and not Capcom for the news/updates. They seem to have their stuff together more than Capcom.

DC has shown updates link to Injustice and Wonderwoman and BlueBeetle were announced at comicshows.
Since Marvel seems to be more involved this time, maybe they will determine when, where, and who gets announced?
Maybe they arenât revealing a lot of stuff now because they are already counting on comic events along with gaming events to reveal stuff, keeping a frequent flow of news instead of bursts of info once per one or two months. That way people can keep talking about it until release.
People who expect an unbalance game is drawing from the franchiseâs history. Every game has been unbalanced and broken dating back to Children of the Atom.
Only because Disney pulled the plug on umvc3. They nerfed Haggar and Tron assists before Ultimate, and nerfed Phoenix Wright assist while they could. Given time, they would certainly nerf Vergil, Zero and Morrigan.
But take UMVC3 for example, if you tone down missiles, Morrigan, Zero and Vergil, there would still be strong as fuck teams killing from one hit. Justin Wong and KBR are there to prove it.
Maybe it would be even scarier after that, because people would invest more on their point instead of having a point/assist/Dark Vergil.
I believe that by Marvelâs nature, the game can be balanced, but never neutered if they keep the core aspects. But I understand that people like to have the clear top tiers in those games, because they either like having a common enemy or like bringing a gun to a knife fight.
One thing that makes me excited for MVCI is that there might be a possibility of good players not needing to change characters too much as the meta develops.
Basically what Saitsu said. For a good while, it started to look like there was no future for the Marvel Vs series, so the patch was most likely discarded. My guess is Capcom wouldnât see a point in updating a 6 yr old game when they have a new one coming soon.
Maybe it would motivate people to find new stuff, keeping them interested for a year until MVCI come out. Or it would be the opposite way, and they wouldnât bother to buy it if they would have to put effort in learning new stuff for nothing.
