Here is the facebook post made on March 2nd https://www.facebook.com/groups/myfgc/

If you take a closer look Tekken, SFV, ect have their own specific dates as well as MvCI. Of course FV Cup was a part of Capcup last year http://capcomprotour.com/schedule/2016-circuit/fv-cup/

FV Cup 2016 info can be found here I’d expect it to be updated eventually to 2017 http://flashvisiontv.tumblr.com/

But not any time soon. It will probably come out in November or December.

Even though I want to truly believe the game will come out this early, it bugs me that the ad conveniently mentions only ā€œMarvelā€ on the facebook post, and neither UMvC3 nor MvCi.

I’m sure they don’t know the true release date, so they are just preparing to accomodate either. Wishful thinking on their part, but I’m very confident Infinite will come out after September, if it makes this year at all.

Yet SNK pulled it off, revealing 3 characters (1 team) per week in the 5 months before KOFXIV launched.

It’s a Marvel Game. All the community playtesting in the world pre-release would iron out nothing. See MvC3.

There’s far too much shit to go through in the game that could feasibly be seen in pre-release.

It’s coming this year but we have no release date so there’s no timetable to work with. Even when the game was announced they said it was still in early development. They haven’t decided on a control setup when they revealed it. By E3 they could have made significant progress with the game where they have some things finalized. Personally I don’t want community testing. Community never knows what it wants. It’s a Marvel game so it’s going to be broken as fuck in some fashion.

People who expect Marvel games to be ā€˜balanced’ really don’t understand the game anyway.

True that. This is not a game series where you expect everyone to be good.

Being a fan of a MvC character playstyle is like gambling on roulette and betting it all on 00 each time

They will have to balance it now though because of esports. They want tournaments on TV, and having more than half of the top 8 with the same character won’t be good for marketing.
Even if the game is balanced, it’s Marvel, it’ll never be neutered.

Balance doesn’t matter for esports. What matters is how fun the game is to watch for speculators. That above all else will determine how successful it will be as an esport. The stream monsters that spam kappa in chats won’t touch the game but will love to watch it.

In the trailers, it was pretty obvious that characters had a 2-punch-2-kick button layout. How committed do we think Capcom is to that control scheme? I hope they stick with it, since I really like the idea of having four complete buttons, with cr.H being a universal launcher.

If Magneto and Dante are good the game will be fine.

At the same time, balance plays a part in how fun the game is to watch as well. No matter how spectacular the gameplay looks, people will get tired of seeing the same characters/teams over and over. It doesn’t need to be ASW-level balanced, but at least enough to not predict every top 8 or grand finals matchup. I think that’s completely possible given how much more ā€œhonestā€ the system mechanics sound, based on what little we know.

Don’t get me wrong though, I want my Mahvel dirt…assuming it’s nothing so stupid as TAC-infinites or meter-positive TODs.

I’m playing Steam Marvel right now and i was just thinking about how well designed these two characters are in Marvel 3. How well their damage scales with each confirm, the amount of tools they have and the varied ways they can use them. Like, if Magneto did just a little bit less damage (70k and 80k on H and S respectively), i’d safely say both these guys should be the measuring stick for all other characters in the game.

Also, hey everyone. Marvel Infinite is a fake game created by the regressive left wing media to distract all of you from the #Vault7 Wikileaks. FAKE NEWS. SAD.
Glad to be back.

Go back to making photoshops for fake leaks. We need shit for April Fools.

Gotta let it cool down, or everyone will know where it came from, after the Baiken joint :3

Hey, you think we might get some news at this week’s PAX?

I asked the community guy about it and he said he wasn’t entirely sure if Capcom would be at PAX. He did say he’ll be at FR, so.

Overpowered characters is one thing but at least let lower tiers have the tools to fight them.

There is absolutely no reason why She-Hulk needs to be as useless as she is in Ultimate. She’s much too difficult to use for such little payoff, any 5 year old playing Vergil can destroy her.
