Even though I want to truly believe the game will come out this early, it bugs me that the ad conveniently mentions only āMarvelā on the facebook post, and neither UMvC3 nor MvCi.
Iām sure they donāt know the true release date, so they are just preparing to accomodate either. Wishful thinking on their part, but Iām very confident Infinite will come out after September, if it makes this year at all.
Itās coming this year but we have no release date so thereās no timetable to work with. Even when the game was announced they said it was still in early development. They havenāt decided on a control setup when they revealed it. By E3 they could have made significant progress with the game where they have some things finalized. Personally I donāt want community testing. Community never knows what it wants. Itās a Marvel game so itās going to be broken as fuck in some fashion.
They will have to balance it now though because of esports. They want tournaments on TV, and having more than half of the top 8 with the same character wonāt be good for marketing.
Even if the game is balanced, itās Marvel, itāll never be neutered.
Balance doesnāt matter for esports. What matters is how fun the game is to watch for speculators. That above all else will determine how successful it will be as an esport. The stream monsters that spam kappa in chats wonāt touch the game but will love to watch it.
In the trailers, it was pretty obvious that characters had a 2-punch-2-kick button layout. How committed do we think Capcom is to that control scheme? I hope they stick with it, since I really like the idea of having four complete buttons, with cr.H being a universal launcher.
At the same time, balance plays a part in how fun the game is to watch as well. No matter how spectacular the gameplay looks, people will get tired of seeing the same characters/teams over and over. It doesnāt need to be ASW-level balanced, but at least enough to not predict every top 8 or grand finals matchup. I think thatās completely possible given how much more āhonestā the system mechanics sound, based on what little we know.
Donāt get me wrong though, I want my Mahvel dirtā¦assuming itās nothing so stupid as TAC-infinites or meter-positive TODs.
Iām playing Steam Marvel right now and i was just thinking about how well designed these two characters are in Marvel 3. How well their damage scales with each confirm, the amount of tools they have and the varied ways they can use them. Like, if Magneto did just a little bit less damage (70k and 80k on H and S respectively), iād safely say both these guys should be the measuring stick for all other characters in the game.
Also, hey everyone. Marvel Infinite is a fake game created by the regressive left wing media to distract all of you from the #Vault7 Wikileaks. FAKE NEWS. SAD.
Glad to be back.
Overpowered characters is one thing but at least let lower tiers have the tools to fight them.
There is absolutely no reason why She-Hulk needs to be as useless as she is in Ultimate. Sheās much too difficult to use for such little payoff, any 5 year old playing Vergil can destroy her.
