@“Cheech Wizard” Yeah Zero just can’t be fair. He worked like Magneto does in every game too where everytime they rearrange him he just becomes gdlk in a different way. Even between MVC3 to UMVC3 they tried to fix him Zero but basically just broke him differently (Magneto just became top tier in a different way also). The fact that they did absolute ZERO fuck all to deal with his lightning HSD when it was clearly creating meter positive TOD’s was hilarious.
Lupinko putting out character rosters is a good sign. Shows that he really is in the know like he usually is and not just parroting other forum poster leaks. Lupinko is back in his true form.
Marvel 3 was the worst, easiest, most braindead fighting game ever so expect Marvel 4 to be even worse. If you don’t like shit games you better walk out the door now.
I reckon they will take a Street Fighter 5 approach to the game where they will recognize Marvel 3s flaws and try and make it more ‘old school’ and ‘honest’. Undoubtedly it will make new problems that will put a certain group of people off just like SF5 did. But at the end of the day people from the old and new audience will end up playing it and liking it.
I knew this day would come. A day where people would say the dumbest easiest game ever is suddenly great. “Man I can’t believe people are playing MVC4. MVC3 was so much more technical with the lightning loops, high damage combos and having to get around missiles and Vergil swords. This MVC4 is so soft and fair. They put in a burst too for the scrubs LMAO. These kids don’t wanna pay for getting hit. Game is so slow with no XF and it made sure every character was decent. .”
Literally like getting the first black president levels of shock to be had.
Increase technicality to Anime levels (which nowadays are hilariously considered dumbed down) then they get flack for ostracising new players, if it’s simplified then the OGs wouldn’t be caught dead playing such a shit game that caters to scrubs.
Yeah it’s very real that we could get a game that tries to make combos just as easy or easier than the ones MVC3, but just nerf the damage so the game isn’t as ToD heavy. Which will basically garner complaints except you won’t die on a touch.
New fighters (especially Capcom) are pushing ease of play so they will inevitably find things that were difficult about MVC3 and then we get more dryness and ease.
Maybe there’s shit we’re not even thinking about that will change make us go “man that makes that aspect of the game nowhere near as technical as it was in MVC3”. It’s a longshot, but it’s possible.
People tends to forget the flaws from the past games and only remember the good things about them. Sometimes I feel compelled to print every post hating SFV to, when SFVI (hopefully) comes, show them to everyone that says “how V was a honest game compared to VI”, or “how V-trigger was a 100x better mechanic than what whatever VI has”, etc.
But that would be just a futile attempt to end the FGC’s hate cycle. It’s better to just ignore the haters and move on.
Speak for youself. Plenty of people refuse to play Sfv and consider it the worst sf of all time. I’d rather play any other fighting game on the planet.
Yeah and those guys like Sfv. The idea that people who begrudgingly play Sfv ( last time I played was the beta) are gonna somehow remember it fondly. Is wishfull thinking by those who for some bizzare reason like that shite game.
