he means nero/lady as on release char and dante as dlc. makes much much more sense if it were the other way around. also, i canāt see lady as being playable. at best, itāll be dmc5 dante if dmc5 ever gets announced and nero is dlc
Speaking of DLC, do you think weāll receive the characters in pairs? One new Capcom and one new Marvel each new DLC pack? Or just one each time? Or in bundles of like 4?
Do you guys think they should follow the SFV ways? Some new characters through the year or all of them at the same time once a year? If they do seasons, would you like if they didnāt reveal the characters?
I mean bi-monthly character releases isnāt exactly a bad idea when the initial title is actually finished, but that would require MVC:I to launch in a proper state, which I highly doubt to be honest
Even if itās bi-monthly, they will have to release 2 characters at a time. They have a lot of work ahead.
I think the game is pretty much done, with only some polishing on balance, graphics and animations left, and a team is just working on dlc characters so they can have time between releasing a batch while working on the next. They did with SFV. While season 1 characters were being released, they were working on season 2.
Iām thinking the bundles. Theyāll likely have themes to them too.
Iām still curious as to what abilities the gems/stones will have. I highly doubt the space and reality gems will be the same as in MSH, and I anticipate the more uninteractive ones like the soul gem will be tweaked.
Power: wallbounces
Time: teleports
Space: double jumps or air dash (it could be portals, but I donāt know how that would work outside of style factor)
Soul: meter build
Mind: parry
Reality: revert controls of the opponent
Itās hard to think about what stones could do. If stones only work upon activation, some stuff just aināt good as a comeback mechanic. If stones give a buff from the start, they can balance them around the uses. Like a stone has great comeback potential, so they reduce itās passive effects. Power stone is too easy to comeback? Reduce the passive damage buff from 20% to 10% and something like that
Thatās super gimmicky. I bet itās more like a passive buff that gets enhanced/gimmicky if you use a specific one on a specific person
Power: More damage
Time: Increase attack speed
Space: Increase movement speed
Soul: Meter Build
Mind: Take Less Damage
Reality: Regenerate Health.
And then something like
Power(Ryu): Infinite Wall Bounces
Time(Hulk): Cancel Special moves into other Special Moves
Space(Rocket Raccoon): Greatly enhances his hitboxes so heās hitting from much farther away
Soul (Dante): Permanent Devil Trigger. Using DT Hyper Combo allows for different Styles
Mind(Doctor Doom): Resurrect on death by swapping with a Doombot
Reality(Haggar): Immunity to damage and pushback for a set period of time
Injustice is on a different release schedule, so you canāt really compare them directly. I will say, however, that Injustice had a lot more to show on the initial reveal. Capcom admittedly revealed MVCI too early, though.
