SFxT died due to a trouble launch (disc locked content controversy, gems, and lots of gameplay issues) and the fact that it wasn’t a “main” game for many people meant that most didn’t care when the 2013 patch came out and fixed it.
Marvel 3 is definitely has and still been way more alive than XTekken. It was a main Evo game last year and will probably get one more shot with this push for Infinite and the PS4 port.
Drunkard doesn’t like tri dashes so he won’t want real Marvel.
Ryu’s air mobility option is in need of some juice, and I think the best way of doing that is by buffing his air tatsu’s usefulness. Light air Tatsu could function like a floaty “dive” kick, causing a forced sink at the peak of his jump. Heavy air Tatsu could work similarly to his chicken tatsu technique in SF4 where he floats over an entire screen by timing his tatsu correctly while rising from a jump.
I’m starting to get a sinking feeling that their reveal pattern will be very similar to SFV’s. We’ll have the initial trailer + some gameplay, then nothing for months until Capcom decides to start revealing characters/systems.
The game doesn’t even have decided upon button layout. Its probably really early. Even the combos we saw them doing may not be possible in the final game because it could change completely.
The thing really on my mind is how they can balance empty tags without making them useless or boring. Should it be freezing the screen all the time if they are tagging and will a tag meter need to be built or will it be refilled through fighting?
I think since they said they want the game to be a sandbox for people to be creative with the Tag meter they use should probably be able to be used twice straight in neutral, not freeze the screen like YRC, and does not refill during combo, but reffills a little bit slower than assists do in MvC2 and three.
As far as gems working like grooves, do you think they might actually give certain gems a roll mechanic or something? The dash through Captain Marvel did on ryu looked like it could be a roll.
Non airdashers have worked. They just need to be extremely busted. Or in Shuma’s case, they just need pushblock to not exist.
*Having an airdash doesn’t make someone an airdasher. Ask yourself this; how many times in a match do you see an airdash from this character? If the answer is “sometimes zero”, then they’re not an airdasher. That’d be like calling Strider a zoner just because he has a fireball.
This actually sucks, the majority of legit stuff is from Ryce. Most people on reddit/twitter never heard of him or neogaf so they see this guy on reddit/twitter and its their first introduction to MVCI leaks. They take it for face value because they have not been following threads on neogaf or here.
The spread of misinformation is going to explode from this, its that fake news bullshit.
I’ve already seen people making youtube videos about these shit leaks and worse people on reddit are discrediting Ryce when I bring his leaks to their attention.
