This isn’t obvious. I also don’t believe in “obvious on sight” nonsense. I work in marketing so I need numbers and the metrics you used to get to that conclusion.

The example you used is incompatible, too. Just because a character has an updated look doesn’t mean they will lose the essence of their gameplay.

I’m not saying they will, for a guy who always needs to be told everything outright you sure were quick to jump on my comment as worrying about gameplay. It’s a purely aesthetic concern. Clearly the gameplay of these characters is being kept intact.

Only that no one has their movie costumes yet. The costume Cap is wearing in this game? It’s what he was wearing during the Marvel Now relaunch

MVCI should have a roster amount at least as much as MVC2 or greater. how much UMVC3? didn’t bother with the series with how bad capcom handled the first edition. and I didnt like MVC3 series art direction either. MVCI being only 2v2 is a huge leap backwards. its not even up to MVC2 standards. the fans dont care about balancing for MVC series since MVC2 is one of the most broken games ever and one of the most popular. just load the roster with more than its predecessors, more favorites, keep 3v3, have good art/graphics, and it would sell more

Again, the only reason MvC2 had as huge a roster as it did, was due to a massive amount of reused assets from previous games, and cutting a lot of other fluff. And unlike the last Marvel games, they can’t really afford to cut fluff now.

Even if you reused a bunch of assets from MvC3 to this, for a 2v2 game it’s completely unnecessary to hit 50.

My honest assumption is that there’s just gonna be one Capcom character per franchise, and just like with TvC, they’ll consider SF1-5 + SFA separate series so they can squeeze six SF characters in.

At least initially, anyway, the only Darkstalkers’ character is gonna be Morrigan, the only DMC character will be Dante, I’m gonna bet on Wesker being the only RE character unless they really wanna shoe horn a RE7 character in there, etc.

maybe they decided 2v2 so they can have something like KOXIV’s Party versus, except its 2 players vs 2 players in one tag team match together, instead of turn taking lobby matches tallying wins.

since they called MVC Infinite, does that mean they aren’t gonna make an Ultimate edition and any new characters are added as DLC? well that could increase the window of loading MVCI with 50+ playables at least.

without the xmen, MVCI is going to seriously struggle to have a significant roster (makes you wonder why they didn’t cut street fighter from this new MvC game since they are so dumb as to cut Marvel’s most popular series) it definitely won’t be the definitive Marvel vs Capcom game, that’s for sure, the fanbase is gonna be divided in opinion about it.
