I couldn’t figure out how to embed the picture but I don’t really understand the comparisons between injustice and MvCi. They honestly don’t look anything alike to me which I feel like the picture kinda highlights.

They look extremely similar to me. First, in terms of animation…

Animation isn’t similar at all. Injustice is a string based fighting game that, as per NRS usual schtick, tries to do Tekken style strings in a 2D fighting game, and that shows in the way it animates (slower normals, no cancels, etc.).

Go to 0:51 in the gameplay trailer and watch it. You’re really going to tell me that doesn’t look a lot like Injustice? Also, the artstyle looks a lot like it too (very dark, realistic, etc)

You realize that’s the custom-combo mode the time stone gives you, right? Your attacks cancel into anything. The animations in this are way better than anything NRS has put out

Looking at the 0:51 bit again in the first trailer, the combo Carol does is something like cr.MK or cr.M into a standing 3 hit magic series chain on a low juggled Ryu, into st.MK or st.M, into cr.M, into another magic chain into what seems to be a 3-hit punch special, into hyper. May seem a bit long, but then again, she’s on the Time Gem, so this may be something that said gem does.

Of course, this could just be spliced combo footage and not just one combo.
