I’m not excited about reused animations but most people seems okay with it. I don’t really care about a large cast, especially at that price.

Recycled animations is one reason to use 3D over 2D. Hell, Tekken 7 still has animations from Tekken 1.

The thing with this however is it helps make things feel familiar when you’re actually playing.

Well for instance Iron Avenger being an animation I’ve already seen 3000 times really takes away the adventure of playing a new game

But yeah after SFV it’s hard to take any of this seriously since it could change a bit before release (although to be fair this game is further along than where SFV was when it was announced at CapCup 2014)

One thing I’m understanding from the interviews is that story wise this will be literally Marvel vs. Capcom. Like the entire Marvel universe vs the entire Capcom universe.
I know nobody gives a shit about that (especially in a crossover game), but I find the idea behind that potentially interesting. Hope that the writers stem from Marvel and not Capcom though.

Back to stuff that actually matters. What I’m wondering about now is how raw tags work. Are they now run ins like what we see in the mid-combo tags? Can you input a move immediately on tag? Do they have the same freeze effect?

These questions, especially the first two, could define whether or not tags can be used defensively similar to assists.

Felicia’s my most wanted character from MvC3 now that Morrigan’s back. I’m hoping that Morrigan is just an early build. She’s a succubus, her breasts are one of the biggest aspects of her character so them getting reduced is a horrible start and along with her outfit being slightly less revealing screams censorship. That’s definitely not a good sign for Felicia’s chances. I still say she has a good chance cause she’s fairly popular, there isn’t anyone that could replace her moveset, and all they really have to do is bring her over from UMvC3.

eSports is the most ridicolous thing I’ve ever heard. Playing video games at any level isn’t remotely athletic and its an insult to athletes to call playing video games a sport.

To which I say, censorship doesn’t stop at sexy girls, pal. You know those “cool badass” Darkstalkers you love so much, like say, Jedah and Raptor? If they make it, they’re going to get censored too. This is not going to make it to air on TV, and their creativity will necessarily be stifled by having to remake themselves for TV audiences and eSports… so if I lose my sexy catgirls and wrestler babes, you lose your self-mutilating cool dudes. Seriously, all I’m reading here is “wahh, wahh, why does Du get to make $230,000 playing SF seriously”. The time and effort these players put into playing these games at that level rivals that of many athletes. If you have issues with people getting paid to play something nominally for leisure seriously for money, then you should have an issue with professional sports in general.

Maybe then your issue should be with programming and how TV works, which is based on viewership. Face it, esports gets more and more viewers each year which is why it’s becoming more lucrative.

We see Iron Man begin with a low jab into a quick combo before launching X with a new normal. I don’t really see this game having an S button for launchers, so that could’ve been his Cr.H right there.

Doesn’t look like a new normal, looks like his crouch MP to me. Launchers might be df+HP or HK like the universal launchers in Marvel 2, because I remember seeing magic series ending in an MP/MK launcher more than once (X’s launcher looks a bit like Mega Man’s stand MP or maybe the shoryu)

What basis do you have for Morrigan to have massive tits? The explanations given have been shallow at best and trite at worst. Until you give a reasonable argument for her tits to be the size they used to be, no one can or should talk you for more than a dude who just wants to get his rocks off on some animated boobs.

I highly doubt that they’re going to keep Spidey out because of SpiderSlaughter: the miniseries. It would be ridiculous for them to do so. Besides, this whole thing is a reboot. It’s not a sequel or prequel to the past vs games. It’s making something new and marching forward. Anyways, the less I think of that event, the better.
