Felicia’s my most wanted character from MvC3 now that Morrigan’s back. I’m hoping that Morrigan is just an early build. She’s a succubus, her breasts are one of the biggest aspects of her character so them getting reduced is a horrible start and along with her outfit being slightly less revealing screams censorship. That’s definitely not a good sign for Felicia’s chances. I still say she has a good chance cause she’s fairly popular, there isn’t anyone that could replace her moveset, and all they really have to do is bring her over from UMvC3.
eSports is the most ridicolous thing I’ve ever heard. Playing video games at any level isn’t remotely athletic and its an insult to athletes to call playing video games a sport.
I don’t entirely agree with your position on eSports (it’s true there’s no standard for physical fitness; it’s more about the competitive nature of these games) but at the same time I really don’t like what it’s doing to video games as a whole, particularly with my favorite franchises. Attempting to introduce esports to an audience of regular sports fanatics is really stupid, and it’s making them dial back creativity and censor things more for the sake of being televised to sports watching audiences.
I don’t want these games to grow to accomodate casual idiots, not if it means losing everything I like about my games. The fact that they forced several R. Mika players on the past two Capcom Cups to wear her less sexy costume just makes me mad on principle.
If competition made something a sport then Chess is a sport. We used to laugh at people who considered Golf a sport.
DOAX3 didn’t even get a US release cause they were concerned it might not get a good reception here. It’s only going to get worse.

The time and effort these players put into playing these games at that level rivals that of many athletes. If you have issues with people getting paid to play something nominally for leisure seriously for money, then you should have an issue with professional sports in general.

Chess is more a competitive hobby than sport. SF is a competitive hobby not a sport. Not sure why pro gaming, or competitive gaming can’t be used instead of e-sport. But then you have motor-sports, etc. And thats just a whole other ball game.
Body building is not a sport. Golf is in a grey area for me, cause if i include golf i have to include billiards.

What is that camera pan for? Is it just purely for the trailer or is it an automatic/target combo that launches the opponent? If it’s the latter - going to get annoying real fucking fast
I honestly think it’s just for the trailer. This seems like one they just through together quickly to give people a feel for the battle system.
Man, Iron Man might actually be usable in this game. That’s hype.

Maybe then your issue should be with programming and how TV works, which is based on viewership. Face it, esports gets more and more viewers each year which is why it’s becoming more lucrative.
As for the titties, maybe your issue should be with America’s puritanical views on sex and violence where the latter is more acceptable than the former.
If you think esports is more popular than bodybuilding and the fitness industry your out of your mind.
Last I checked, more people tune in to watch League of Legends’ World Championship than they do the NBA Finals. Which is why these networks like ESPN want to get esports in their lineup.

Recycled animations is one reason to use 3D over 2D. Hell, Tekken 7 still has animations from Tekken 1.
The thing with this however is it helps make things feel familiar when you’re actually playing.
Looking at the extended gameplay trailer again had me thinking. X seemed to be in a stationary “charging” position while he was charging up a charge shot w/ the X1 armor. If he can’t move while charging, the move better be godlike. Seems pretty good that it can eat other projectiles though.
