MVC Infinite Lounge: DLC Characters and Costumes launch Dec 5th

For those concerned with only 2on2 tag and, not 3on3, i wouldn’t worry. Capcom is no doubt saving that for Ultimate MVC Infinite: Champion Edition lol.

I am not excited at all. I really wanted to like it, but at this state, I simply can’t.

Having good characters isn’t enough for me, I would rather have the crazy mechanics with okay characters, than having the okay mechanics with great characters. I would gladly sacrifice the Marvel characters if that would give me a Capcom All-Stars with the MvC2 system.

This isn’t Mahvel Marvel, this is like Tatsunoko vs Capcom meets Street Fighter X Tekken. I don’t see any of the extreme air combos, no assists, no 3v3, and the game seems slower. I hated SFxT tag combos btw.

I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and I’ll play it for sure, but the hype isn’t there. I hope that at least it is a solid game.

I don’t want the story to be heroes versus villains, I want it to be Marvel vs. Capcom. I want to see their motivations for adopting a “them or us” mentality.

At the end of the day though, the story itself doesn’t matter as much as there is a mode to do what Pertho would call “not playing a fighting game” in the game.

Btw. they will show 2 more characters today from what I’ve heard.

I enjoyed TvC so much that when MvC3 dropped and it played like it did I would always bitch to my friends that TvC was the better game and that MvC3 should’ve adopted a style similar to it; looks like I may have got my wish. I’m liking what was revealed and I’m really not that bothered by the no assist thing so long as gems are interesting and not just a one-and-done eye rolling comeback mechanic like X-Factor.

Yeah Capcom learned the best way to sell a fighting game now is NRS style. Add non fighting game stuff and they will buy. Fluff is the stuff.

Was given a av that looked like a CD album. Given that the rest have chosen members of the Shaq Fu cast, decided to put one for completeness sake. Tell me if not appropiate.

I actually like the 2v2 with no external assists, feels like the old goodies XvSF and MvC1 without silly Colossus (only like assists that can be hit back). Although the main motive behind the 2v2 relapse was probably the need a smaller roster.

So, Capcom, how hard would it to include an extreme mode? Yknow…3vs3 with assists? Cash cow I tell you

It’s MAHVEL. If it isn’t broken as fuck, I’m sure most people will be incredibly disappointed. I sure as shit will be.

This is its own subsection? Everybody assume that FGD and GD rules apply here until I can get things sorted with d3v and stuff.

If somebody wants to make threads for wishlisting, news, and all the other ones to prevent clutter feel free to do and i’ll delete any redundant ones that randomly happen in the mad race to first. General gameplay discussion might be good too.

Honestly, and i’m scrub as fuck and i know it, but i liked MvC3 way more than MvC2 and i preferred the 4 button set up to the 6 button one. I’ve got hand conditions, so fewer buttons to press and less shit i need to do just to be adequate is real important to me. No assists sux ass though, the new systems better make up for it.

Never played SFxT but when i watched it i thought the mid-combo switch thing they had going was pretty cool. Hopefully MvCI’s version is like that but more flexible.

One of my favorite games was MvSF that introduce the very first assist system that is your other tag-out partner character. I won’t be bothered without an independent 3rd special assist character like MvC one that has no repercussion and risk for life gauge other than subtracting counter availability not my preference.

I’ve been saying iy for a while but the entire SF5 subsection would get mad at me for mentioning it. Casuals need things that keep them away from actual players. Dumbing down the game for it is a bad idea though. NRS games have gotten more complicated over time so that doesnt seem to play much of a role in the wuccess of a game financiallym might as well keep the integrity of the gameplay intact.
