Honestly, I would rather see Edward Falcon be DLC since Frank West is pretty much guaranteed in the roster. Plus, I just don’t see how Falcon could fit in the game’s story since it wouldn’t make any sense whatsoever.
I guess they could have Ed come across one of the Infinity Gems when he’s out looking for his world’s Powerstones or something. That would probably be an easy explanation to his story. Since the world’s are merging, I could see that happening.
In the last few days we’ve seen people claim this game won’t have Thor or Frank West, argue over whether Nemesis or Jack Baker is a more important character, and now claim a character will be in with XvSF as justification.
Please give us something more to work with Capcom.
I think that Gene(God hand) and Leon probably in the game that may cause doubts on Frank but lately they did a game for Dead rising.
Nash or Rashid could represent SFV like Viper represent SF4 in UMVC3, I just hope it won’t be Alex from TVC to represent SFV
Ryu, Chunli and Morrigan is always the staple. So chances are having more than 3 SF and DS characters since they are the FG iconic franchises of Capcom.
Still salty that he was excluded from UMVC3 because he apparently didn’t have a big enough fanbase overseas…
Since Nina was really close to making the roster in UMVC3, I really wonder if Breath of Fire will get some consideration for Infinite.
Another one I’m still interested in is Doctor Octopus. The fact that they had official artwork, a theme, and a model for him makes me wanna believe they didn’t completely discard him. Hopefully they were able to get around the issue he presented in the previous system and bring him to Infinite.
I doubt we’ll be see any Breath of Fire characters in the roster again like in MvC3 since they’ll be unsuitable from a mechanics point. As for Frank West, I’m afraid he might be getting the boot this time from Falcon.
Why BOF6 was release lately? and BOF is one of those long iconic franchise of Capcom. I’m thinking they would even do a mobile port of the previous games of the series. Since they got new improved ways to port than their previous port that was taken out the appstore.
OK, fine. Then I guess Nina would either be on the roster or DLC. As for Frank West, he’s now property of Capcom Vancouver hence his possible exclusion from the roster.
I think there is a strong sense for us to see a Power Stone, God hand and Asura’s Wrath rep in this.
As for game mechanics, for a character not in a fighting game is much easier for Capcom, because of the huge amount of design space and that they can took alot of inspiration from other FG characters that had a similar nature and personality to the particular character, rather than a character with iconic moves that can limit designs other than exaggerating and adding a 2-1 additional special that is also inspired by previous iconic moves a that’s the common problem of other SF characters that were accustomed to be played in a horizontal scrolling plane against other characters with minimal mobility options.
I think it’s possible that Gene and Asura will most likely be DLC since they were two of the top choices on the DLC characters poll a while back. As for Strider Hiryu, I’m afraid he might end being DLC this time in MvCI. :s
Thinking about which of Capcom’s newer franchises they can add to this game. Adding Gaist Crusher would be neat. Capcom created the series so it can be a multimedia franchise. The series has two games, 51 episode anime and manga to it’s name. Biggest strike against it is none of the series media has been released outside Japan and it’s also a flop. The characters got some cool designs and mega zords. Maybe being added to this game can give it a second wind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwISOznc_qs
There’s the Sengoku Basara series which is very popular in Japan and any character from the series would fit Marvel like a glove. The series had a fighting game spin-off developed by Arc Systems so there’s a template already in place. Date would be amazing in a Marvel game. It has a cult following at best in America and most of the games never got localized so it hurts it’s chances. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYPAtSBvyis
You know what? I’m sure BoF3 Nina would be a much better choice as DLC compared to Strider Hiryu. I just don’t see her being on the roster compared to him. Also, Onimusha is pretty much a dead franchise, so forget about seeing characters such as Kaijin no Soki returning for MvCI.
